Hypothetically you could get +4 from 2 savage rings but idk if that actually works

If so then you could get +10 speed lol

Planting hardwood trees may be a good idea regardless, at this point. If they're on the farm, they can propagate more mahogany seeds in the soil around themselves, for you to collect with the axe or pick. Gonna want quite a few of them for when you eventually get around to Foraging Mastery

Can certainly plant/fertilize/chop regular trees alongside, for more sap.

Pines are probably best because there are always too many pinecones...

Depends on what I’m doing

For example if I’m going for a lot of volcano runs powerful may be better, but Swift is generally more useful and versatile

On the axe it’s shaving in 1.6

I usually get multiple fishing poles for master rod and a preserving rod

Hoe has the most contentious enchants, it’s very up to choice

im a hammer man

10th level of the volcano in ginger island there's a forge
you can also craft a mini-forge unlocked by combat mastery

it uses a prismatic shard and 20 cindershards each time

you just put ur tool in the left slot, and then a prismatic shard on the other slot

• you need to unlock lvl 10 of volcano on ginger island
• need to have at least 20 cinder shards & 1 prismatic shard
• once u place the tool on the left slot & prismatic in top slot, u can enchant them! i believe all enchants r randomized, i got mine on 1st try & stuck with it lol. if u don't like it, u'll have to re-enchant (and cost stays the same).
• forge & enchants r separate; u can only have ONE enchant but multiple forged effects if that makes sense (i think its up to 3)

So I just found out that the 'blessing of water' from the statue of blessing, the one that makes the first three fish catches of the day much easier, works for legendary fish.

it made the Legend II about as easy to catch as the common fish like chubs and sardines, even got him iridium quality by doing so.

granted I did have to stack my luck a little to make sure I hooked him first but it worked

Alternatively to getting to lvl10 in the volcano mine: unlock the mini-forge recipe via combat mastery, catch a stingray or two, throw them in a fish pond and hey presto you get free dragon teeth for thr mini-forge and theres no stress on getting to lvl 10

Ofc youll get to lvl 10 anyways for perfection, but hey its a nice alternative if ur rly struggling

Also its a decent way to get a consistent supply of battery packs and dragon teeth considering youll need a hefty amount of both

With rng manipping (which id made very simple with blade’s map predictor) you can guarantee dragon teeth or battery packs every day depending on which you want

And with the addition of animal crackers you can get double produce, meaning u can get the required 16 battery packs for perfection in 8 days of production, and afterwards you can get 2 battery packs a day with a single fish pond, regardless of weather

Targeted Bait is quite strong in general. Catfish in spring and fall, sturgeons in summer and winter, super cucumbers in summer and fall. Smokers can amplify it further, though it may be difficult to get enough coal in Spring Y1.

What I want to point out though, here, is that Pirate is actually much more useful in 1.6 thanks to Jewels of the Sea (chance to add Roe to fishing treasure), mystery boxes, Fishing Mastery (golden treasures), and Farming Mastery (spawn animal crackers in golden treasures)
I already preferred Pirate over Angler, but this might be enough to beat the 1/5th money increase for others as well

it is simple to understand, isn't overly complicated (yes it can get challenging, but that is due to how different fish move, not because of it being complicated.), isn't overly realistic, and doesn't take ages to catch fish unlike some other games.

ever done fishing in harvest moon back to nature? its simple yes but it lacks that factor of accomplishment. which is important to make the fishing feel fun to me. Where as monster hunter world, add so many imputs it becomes complicated and far more tedious then I want and far more randomized with the harder fish. As the harder fish have slightly different rulesets.

When we compare those to Stardew Valley fishing were we have that all fish follow the same basic formula it feels overly complicated for no reason. And because of its over complicated nature it feels not so rewarding as I expect to be rewarded for putting in such a level of effort to catch the fish. Then there is the other way to catch fish with the bug net, which doesn't even feel like fishing. (Yes I know net fishing is an actualy thing people did from shores, but this doesn't really feel fun, take any sense of challenge away from the fishing itself.)

The fishing in Stardew Valley only falls short to Harvest Moon Hero of Leaf Valley. This is because fishing is simpler there. Just click x when circles overlap. But it also ties into your stamina and stress bars. But also more difficult fish have more circles. And when you catch a fish it says catch on screen, and your guy holds it up triumphantly this includes if you catch treasure. When you catch trash even your character looks to the ground as he is also as dissapointed as you are that it was trash that was caught. Making you feel more connected to the character.

I find a simple yet intense reward feeling fishing minigame to be enjoyable.

Maybe, I tend to work 46 or 56 hours a week. and i am also in school.

I'm an apprentice electrician. Essays aren't my strong suite hard to believe with how I structured that small tangent. But I am way better at math and science than I am at english

right now I am studying AC theory

When it's done well in a game I like the fishing. most games don't do fishing right. as it is hard to get the right amount of simplicity with reward factor.

I can catch them. those are just the fish I find the hardest. the rest of the fish are easy to me now adays. I would say mutant carp and crimsonfish are the only two I can recall being medium difficulty. and i have recently caught most of the fish. I still have to finish CC. Even though I am in year 2 its not done. I did remixed bundles. got most of the worse bundles
