I also use a few visual mods like the golden clock and obelisks and prettier pigs and nicer void chickens

Cave Jelly isn't hard to get, you just have to give up on getting anything else in the meantime (Mine 100 and use Luck buffs; daily spirit Luck has no effect)

If you have spare copies of Jewel of the Sea, the bookseller will trade three of the same jelly for it. The jelly he offers is randomized per visit (this is how I actually got my cave jellies and sea jellies)

If it's a season where Super Cucumbers are available, you can try focusing on those since they live in the sea.

Sea Jellies were the first ones I got in this playthrough, as my "opener" involved spending all of Day 2 fishing in the ocean. But then I pivoted almost entirely to freshwater catches (catfish and sturgeon) so River Jellies ended up being the one I actually had most

Day 3 in particular is almost definitely still worth sprinting for Catfish, at least. There's more than just money at stake, there's also fishing EXP for reaching Fisher by the end of the day. Higher-value fish are worth more EXP.

Hops are theoretically stronger but only slightly, at the cost of driving you insane

The strip of land adjacent to the river to the west, all counts as irrigated. So taro tubers grow great there. I used DSG with them to make them even faster for Island Ingredients

Yeah, once you unlock the Underforge and Artificer skill (the room at the Coastal Adventurer's Guild), you start to mine up "exquisite" versions of gems from gem nodes. There are also recipes to make them that you can learn as you level up in Artificer, IIRC

So basically, just keep mining those gem nodes and you'll acquire them pretty naturally.

Any non-fruit tree. Certain tree types influence the mushroom types they generate

Oak adds morels to their spawn list
Pine adds chanterelles to their spawn list
Maple adds reds and purples to their spawn list, heavily favoring red
Mystic adds purples (and not reds) to the spawn list

In a grove with only one tree type, about 60% of the shrooms will be that tree type's favored shroom

Mahogany, mushroom, and green rain mutant trees do not have a favored mushroom type.

(Every tree, with or without a favored shroom type, also adds more RNG weight to the regular shroom spawn list. This is why the ones with favored shrooms balance out at around 60%; the other 40% is the normal shroom pool that they themselves also contribute too, so they can't overcome themselves.)

Farming contributes half EXP towards Mastery since it's so easy, but... It's so easy that it's still a decent source, just a bit slow.

Blasting nodes in SC is high effort but generates EXP very, very quickly. Iridium nodes (and, during the desert festival, calico nodes) are worth a whopping 50 EXP apiece.

Delve deep and blast a hundred iridium nodes? That's five thousand EXP before we even look at what else you've blasted or monsters you've slain

the dehydrator only takes 1 day to process but it does take 5 fruits vs the 1 for the preserves jar, then again it does sell for 7.5 x fruit base price + 25g

I got tired of dehydrators pretty quickly (until I got hoppers). I think it’s easier to process a lot of fruit, but kegs are more accessible in the first few years and you don’t go insane from them (you don’t have to put fruit in them everyday). So I think a mix, but kegs mainly?

They don't exactly stack. They're two completely different stats that coincidentally do similar things
Max daily luck is 12.5% (10% from max luck day and +2.5% from Special Charm)
Max possible luck "skill" is 13, I believe (Qi seasoned Ginger Ale for +2, Magic Rock Candy for +5, two Lucky Rings for +2 together, Desert Festival Rare Fruit dish for +3, Statue of Blessings for +1)

The dehydrator is the only machine that causes a LOSS in profits when used.

If you put in anything of iridium quality you lose money unless it's Qi Beans.

Gold items are worth 1.5x the base value, Iridium is worth 2x, and the dehydrator is 1.5x + 5g

depends
if ur selling the crop raw, you might be better off using quality/deluxe fertiliser to get more money out of it
if ur farming a single-harvest crop (e.g. starfruit) you might be better off using speed-gro for quicker harvests (and in turn more money)
if ur farming a multi-harvest crop and turning it into artisan goods, fertilisers and speed-gro both dont have much use, so retaining soil is the way to go (saves on sprinklers + you can plant a few more crops in the spots that sprinklers wouldve gone)

You use 119 spots for crops in greenhouse with pressurized iridium sprinklers vs. 120 with deluxe retaining soil. So less effort for 1 less tile

And ginger island I use hyper speed gro with starfruit so I don’t use retaining soil

It would need to be dangerous SC, not normal one

So if there’s a Qi quest with it, or you already completed a Qi quest and can activate the SC shrine, then do that
