THIS is the most OVERPOWERED thing in 1.6.
1 gold smoked legend ii with fisher+angler+artisan profession is ~31.500 gold each!
1 iridium smoked legend ii with fisher+angler+artisan profession is 42.000 gold each!

and it doesn't require as much setup as other means of making money!!!
which means this is best to transition from midgame to lategame when you're building your keg empire

and my run wasn't even optimized. i fished all of this in just 3 days!! 6 fish first day, 10 fish second day, 15 fish 3rd day. you can earn way more than this!!

(minimum, not optimized) SETUP:

• Nut room unlocked (so the 3 day legendary fish quest would show up)
• Fisher+Angler+Artisan profession
• Smoker unlocked
• 15 quality bobbers (for easier catches use trap, but 10k difference per fish which is huge. curiosity lure is kind of a letdown since the quality isn't guaranteed iridium and but you will need more setup (skull cavern runs))
• 200 wild baits (I find wild baits way better than legend ii baits. trust me, wild baits may seem expensive but they're worth it. it's the best bait available)
• Fishing stat boost foods (You don't need much, 1 fish stew/lobster bisque per day is okay)
• 30-50 coal
• A chest and two smokers placed as pictured below, you fish on the far right. do NOT put any machines above that, sebastian would destroy your things

congrats! you can earn 1 mil in 3 days!!

To optimize you can just

• setup some tents
• make sure on Sundays u sleep on ginger island to get to the room as quickly as possible and have Mountain Totems in your inventory
• challenge bait, good luck

Fishing is easy part, Mining & Combat go hand-in-hand, especially when you unlock the skull caverns.

If you plan out your farming schedule, those are easy too

Then if you spend extra energy on Wild seeds throughout the year and especially during winter, you got yourself lvl 10 in all skills

Trees are less reliable and less consistent though.

During the winter, literally Forage and the new melons are the only things you can grow. You can get at least 2-3 harvests of it, so if you just make wild seeds instead of selling them, it adds up

Where can I reliably get 12 hardwood in a hurry? The secret woods and my will leave me exactly 12 short for Robin's 80-Hardwood Special Order (I had 80 and handed it in, and then noticed it's one of the ones that require you to also harvest 80)
I have two Mahoganies on my farm and the "12 short" already accounts for cutting them both down

It wasn't meant to be economical on resource cost; it packs more utility (inventory space) in fewer tiles, which are what ends up being the actual limitation in endgame
