Put a backpack into a cannon+aim the cannon towards the center of the mountain and slightly higher up. It should fling you to the peak, where as soon as the game says peak you need to light a flare

One thing that's helpful is trying to practice completing climbs without the use of utility items like rope cannons, chain launchers, and pitons. Once you can effectively do that you won't need as much space as you think.

It's confirmed their map generation is completely random but programmed in a way that it's not impossible to scale the mountain. I have yet to see a mountain that is impossible to climb without the tools.

Maybe the first week of Kiln was really difficult but they have seemed to make it easier to climb now with the cost of lava rising. ||That's also returning back in next update||

Yeah its why I believe Mesa is my new favourite Biome. It has so many hazards. It's something that Alpine misses. It would be cool if there is something that instantly freezes you on the spot.

all i got is make sure to use the whole 12.5m of rope on each spool, i think anti-rope counts, rope gun counts aswell. Otherwise yeah it is rng based

i'd just recommend playing on tenderfoot and taking time to look around and open as much luggage as possible. i think i personally reset a few times til i had a run where some of the first few luggages had a few spools of rope in them

just to give myself a good head start

play tenderfoot, if you get lucky and get a pirate compass try to find a lot of luggages and always fully use a rope to its maximum length.

i dislike the sunlight burnung too much. it is very similar to alpine in how to avoid it, but still prefer alpine
