There's a video on it that gets shared regularly on this channel (somewhere above - I don't know what the name is) but I'll try summarize.

1. Find the glowing rock in the MESA (not the hole in the ground which is the usual entrance).
2. Walk around the rock, taking off and putting on your backpack by spamming 4, while trying to sprint 'into' the rock, until you see you are on the side with the hidden door (you will clip in the rock and see the door inside).
3. Once you have forced you backpack inside the rock, but are still stuck on the outside - jump while holding 'w' and 'd', until you are on the (your) right of the door.
4. Sprint jump into the rock forward towards the door while spamming 4 for backpack.

The fog walls only go up so high. So essentially they are flying over them. The areas don't load in but that doesn't stop the game from thinking you are in the bounds of the area
