I was helping a friend with his mandrake badge and we found the only mandrake in the same place in both our 2 attempts (the first attempt was a failure because he picked it up prematurely). We spent about 20mins per attempt. We were looking in other places in our 2nd attempt and couldn't believe that it was in the same place. All the other stuff we found were medicinal roots.

main reason for static is that the game doesnt have any built in noise suppression

best way to test ig would be to record yourself in the default windows 11 sound recorder app, making sure any noise supression is disabled

and thats how you'll sound in game

I use linux. You could download Easy Effects and apply a low pass filter at the very highest frequencies that static exists in (usually higher frequency noise)

Easy effects is something I'd recommend to all linux users. I don't think it's something you can use on windows.
Edit the frequency here for filtering out high frequency static noise. And there should be guides on how to loopback your mic audio, or you could simply record yourself and listen to playback
