For context, we represent a small but passionate group of players who love exploring PEAK beyond its standard, intended gameplay depth. Over time, we’ve discovered and developed numerous interactions—“techs”—that, while unintended, have enriched our enjoyment of the game. These discoveries often create memorable, communal moments: sharing knowledge with new scouts, showcasing unusual tricks like pocketing an entire beehive, or saving a TNT for later (and occasionally catastrophic) use. These moments strengthen the community and highlight one of the most charming aspects of PEAK.

Because these techs have been part of the game for so long, we’ve built countless discussions, guides, and personal challenges around them. Learning that rope storage was removed was deeply disheartening for our community. Many of the players most affected are long-time fans with hundreds of hours in the game, people who have consistently enjoyed, supported, and promoted PEAK.

It is concerning to us that such significant changes can occur without considering the community effort built around these mechanics. The removal of rope storage has rendered some of our challenges impossible and made a bunch of guides obsolete. We understand that as developers you have a clear vision for the game, which might not always align with emergent gameplay, but we hope you will consider the demographic most impacted by this decision: your loyal fans who have spent countless hours exploring the island, helping new scouts, and appreciating every detail you’ve crafted.

Changes like this leave us uncertain about the future of our preferred style of play and risk pushing us away from a game we deeply love. For that reason, we kindly ask that you reconsider the removal of rope storage. We care about PEAK, and we want to see it continue to grow and thrive.

It has been in the game since laucnh seems unfair to remove it after its already set its place in the game as what most have known to come as a fun tech (though exploity, its a minor one. Only really useful for challenges and such and no great value for anything else (aka, not a gamebreaking bug but a fun one that many came to love)
