One of my best personal tips for tropics is that you always gotta consider climbing things that aren't the ground

If you think a vine or something won't work then obviously don't take it, but never inherently count em out

Even a climb you end up making may have cost less stamina (or, worse, extra stamina) if you just jumped there from a tree

one thing that really helps me (when I actually do it) is stopping to look at the map for a few sec, so that I can plan out a path (i.e. I see a lot more stuff on the right side of tropics, so let me try that)

before going down caldera, scout from the last biome with the high ground and scout a route that looks like theres not a lot of distance between rocks. be patient with the rising lava

Also can someone confirm something for me? If you idle long enough at the campfire... Does Scoutmaster Myres after a few minutes, actually run up to your scout and just stare at you while standing just about roughly 1-2 meters from you? I've been seeing a clip where someone AFK'ed for a bit at the top, and when they turned around on getting back, Scoutmaster Myres immediately ran off when they looked at him.

it's just unityexplorer. In my instance Cinematic Unity Explorer (newer, still maintained)
yeah, in it you're enabling gameobjects, that's the green squares. that's how you can get the full map shots with all biomes loaded

shore seems to be the worst honestly, like I can't load reb/blue now that ive done blacksand. but IIRC all other biomes work fine on the variants.
though things like the poison bushes, tropics fungus' (idk what you call them, the ones with the clouds/ the ones that shoot you) probably won't be loaded in, as you need their spawners called to load them.

i was helping 2 newcomers with several badges – naturalist and gourmand were among them. also went ascent 4 to get them sashes. i was sacrificing plenty of food for them and when we got to caldera i needed to get the eggs. i got conflagration spawns constantly invetween lava pools, it was CRAZY

curious question: I read that on one of the acsents the flares don’t spawn at the top of the peak, so if you have no flare can you just not beat the game? I can only assume that’s the case and that you need to bring one with you

There are really good ones all the way up but a headstart is valid, if you pay attention sometimes the end of the line is way higher than the start and you can gain verticality really fast
