Does anyone have any tips to go past tropicals alone? I keep applying the tips I see online, from speerunners, tips about inventory, tips about vines, to look for a way before going in etc. But idk??? when im going into the tropics I always always always end up dying because either: a- I ran out of all the foods I could find or b- dropping to my death/getting stuck in a location too dangerous to climb or too dangerous to climb down? all the others biomes I can finish alone without too much of a hassle but tropicals brings the anger demon out me over time

I’d try to save up on energy drinks or similar stuff to help you just boost through certain parts and you should be fine other than that maybe the route youre taking isnt great

Tropics definitely gave me issue before I got used to them. Some advice would be

1. Look at vines and trees. Often vines will let you cross gaps you normally wouldn’t be able to and if the trees arrangement is good you can get high by climbing up the bushels
2. Depending on the seed, the non thorny vines you can walk on can provide great access, assuming you can keep your footing.
3. Look out for the purple king berry. Insane hunger and bonus energy for one fruit. The yellow king berry also is a great option if you can afford a bit of poison

Each mushroom spot has the possibility of being each of the 7 mushroom types (4 non-toxic, and 3 toxic) or no mushrooms

They have a set spawn per seed, and there are MANY spawn slots

But they have
1- a chance to spawn or not to
2- a chance to be poisonous or not
3- a chance to be any of the 4 OR be a medicinal root.

I really like peak- but there’s generally like, quality of life stuff missing I feel? Like there isn’t a way to join a game without getting an invite through steam or to set up public lobbies without mods. And also, there’s like no way to kick a player from a lobby when you’re playing, so if you pair up with a prick or cheater, you just have to restart with a whole new lobby :(

Vines are your friend when they're not covered in thorns. Also, the thin trees leaves can make for easy climbing, especially since you can clip through them from underneath and land on top.

The only other possibility is that the crown is awarded for simply getting any 32 badges, not just the original 32, and your friend passed that threshold.

Sorry yeah I misread.
You can sometimes do it, but it's very finnicky. You'll have the most luck if part of the rope that's curled is also grabbable, but that's also a little risky because there's a chance it'll whip you off in a random direction
