Ascent 5 gets brutal af. The mesa killed my friends early on so it was just me trying to climb the wall. Eventually I was doomed and ended up confirming that dynamite in fact does not give you heat damage at all

I recommend using 3 climbing items, personal favourite being pitons because it allows for your stamina to be reset
also if you're really desperate you can do achievments in tenderfoot too, there's less stamina usage = more climbing

Windows 11. I originally attempted DX12 but had the same issues. Occurs randomly but usually between 10-35mins of gameplay. All software updates and drivers are up to date so I don't have a lot of ideas, but like I said Peak is the only application this occurs on which makes it unplayable, but everything else is totally fine.

Alpines is harder imo, mesa feels harder since its wayy longer and is kinda like a maze but alpines is genuinely difficult to get through most times. Still alpines deserves more love with updates to it imo

I would have to say that Mesa is by far my favourite biome so far. Making an enjoyable desert level in any game is difficult, but with this one I've been having a blast so far. Shame about the sand tornado not doing much though.
