I will say if you want to avoid it in future, the fog doesnt start rising in the biome until you gain 100m in height from the ground of the next biome (380m -> 480m in tropics) so if you light it then wait

There is no anti-cheat. There used to be a mod that acted like an anti-cheat, but it's not being updated anymore and is broken as of the Mesa update

There is a mod called PEAKER by lammas123 that allows you to ban people from joining future lobbies (although there is no kick function, so they won't be removed from the current lobby)
