a tip with ascent 5 cold is to simply eat and drop everything in a safe place, once you get enough cold to stack you will pass out but the day cycle will come up and you will wakeup shortly after

if you are very hungry you can eat cacti and prickleberry however they will give you a thorn, theres also mushrooms you can find and if you're feeling brave you can cook a scorpion with a portable stove or a dynamite, remember to be VERY quick though or it will sting you

playing solo makes thorns from cacti and prickleberry easily disappear after like 15-30 seconds which makes it a very good food
