It's moreso that the paths I take make such progress going up, but then they cut off with no clear route further. It means backtracking so much that I won't have the stamina to go anywhere further... very frustrating. When you have to spend stamina that you can't get back easily going up one route, only to realise it wasn't going to ever work out further along, it just calls for a full-reset at that point.

I have the achievement but never had that sort of trouble with it. But I did just read in #1371455169098678292 that someone was able to get the achievement after a few failed attempts by cooking the egg before cracking it open. So maybe that will work for you?
