The 4x crits vs 2x means that it deals 4x it's damage on a crit instead of 2x like the short bat does
It deals 0.8-1.3 damage per swing instead of 0.5-1 like the short bat does, which is how I got the average damage there

Very nice to hear that, we are hyped for stuff that didn't reach us by now and I know it's hard and takes up a lot of time to design, code and get it working

but, and this is purely my opinion, more content and less bug fixing / balancing, they will always creep up and will require further fixing

so maybe a different approach, get in as much as possible and start the fixing from that point when the reports and complaints come in from us and on forums / reddit / threads / chats

Unfortunately that's not really viable as people are playing the Unstable branch with an expecation of "this is what the game is like". If it's a buggy mess, that kills desire to continue playing, and kills hype for the stable release. While there are some users who would be understanding, overall the community would not be.

Just go to ARK Discord, you'll see. Devs are never talking to players other than official announcements. They're forced to crunch and deliver ANY content fast, fast, fast. To a point every announcement is reacted to with clown emojis or or otherwise. And the reason they are overworked, unhappy is because a greedy publisher company wants to push for more money grabs (when some of the paid stuff was supposed to be free in the first place). And when the devs finally had enough, the publisher company was forced to create their own paid DLC, which had fully AI-done trailer, and the content within made big ARK youtubers just refund the DLC in the stream, out of spite.
