As far as I know adding drugs could change game ratings or even availability in countries where they are illegal, even more than tobacco or alcohol, depending on the country obviously, so not really worth the trouble when mods can do it

When the power grid fails, I wonder if there's a way to power larger bunkers. From what I know, the generators you find only power a radios around them. I'd imagine that would work the same for underground bunkers too, only powering part of the facility.

I think this should happen but use the exact same four pictures, and you spawn in slightly different places in Muldraugh
i’ve been saying this for years. muldraugh is the town that’s rlly a centerpiece between all of the other towns so it makes for the perfect spawn, plus, i just love the vibes. it feels the most kentucky town in the game and it makes for the most realistic head canons you can make for your character too

Given everything we've seen so far about B42, does B41 to B42 feel like the same transition as B40 to B41, or a bigger/lesser transition?
Build 41 to build 42 feels like a bigger transition than build 39 to build 41
B40 to B41 felt like more of a leap than B42 will, but not in any bad way
I just played so long before B41 that it felt like a new game
lol how was the transition to the new movement system
the gradual shift rather than instant
I think it'll feel smaller in terms of mechanics/feel but bigger in terms of “depth,” if that makes sense
Crafting, animals, lighting, etc. all seem to me like they'll make the game feel more alive, but I'd guess it'll still feel like b41, whereas b40 -> b41 felt totally different like Kachowski said

it really tripped me up at first
having to round corners instead of instant changes in direction took time to get used to
build 41 movement and combat was much different but got the hang of this system after a while and I love it.
B41 has a learning curve. I stumbled on it until I got over it.
I still have more places to improve, like using the kitchen counter tops as hitbox walls to prevent zombies from lunging forward.
And using makeshift fences to prevent zombies lunging as you wack them from behind the fences.

basements will spawn randomized mostly. ex: i like a spesific house in muldraug and i want to settle my base there but that house dont have a basement in that saverun, could i do my own basement to my like ?
even more spesificly, think about i made my base in the woods with wood or scarp metal, could i do my basement without games own house or structre ?

Of course it's biased, for me, that loves zombie games from my young age (begining with RE 1 remake, L4D2, TLOU) this is the zombie game that really made me the best memories, meet a lot of cool people, had so many different emotions
great thing about project zomboid is no mutant zombies as an excuse to increase difficulty.
When I I'm In a PZ mood, I love to talk with my BF how we will progress in the world, about the interactions we have with the others, when we are involved in a server, we only talk about the game for hours and its sooo amazing !! love to have so many amazing scary memories with people I don't know and laughing in the car listening to silly musics on our way to louisville ❤️

In the latest blog post, we have seen electric switches giving off an orange glow in dark, unlit areas. Are these switches all globally going to give off an orange light, even upstairs in suburban homes, and in trailer park homes?
Or will they only appear in basements?

Zombie on zombie action has never really been a thing as they don't really interact with each other, other than grouping up or migrating around the map.
Grappletech only works with corpses atm, but does open the door for other possibility's in the future for sure

They are 🙂 as we can't animate the 2d objects like we can 3d, it would look strange
I mean every things been optimised so far pretty much, on top of all the things we've shown so far too, its been one of the major things needed to ensure everything works as it should with all the new stuff going in, so it suits as many different setups as poss

According to PZ version history, the unstable release usually happens before the end of the month. (Usually from the halfway point to the end of that month)
If your birthday falls after the month of 15 and before 1 of the next month, then you have a 66% likelihood that the unstable release will happen on your birthday. Very rarely, do unstable releases happen before the 15 of that month.
Don't expect a Thursdoid to be released, and immediately within 15 days, an unstable release gets released. It's not likely going to happen.
I'm just analyzing the probability.

With future builds, are yall expecting it to take as much time as previous builds? I would assume it would mostly be refining of the code and such. Not nearly as many true additions to the game in terms of interactable content. Of course minus NPCs which is a huge thing. I guess I am asking if yall have a timeline or anything set for future builds?

Solar panels wouldn’t make sense but wind power and hydropower technology have existed for centuries and wouldn’t be too difficult for a skilled survivor to build a simple windmill or water wheel out of generator parts and stuff
Ethanol fuel would be cool too. Can be made out of fruits and vegetables and be used as a substitute for gasoline in cars and generators

just gave it more thought and what must be really slowing them down is the development of the Zomboid Olympics. Could be a 4x100m relay among 8 teams of sprinters. First, there is "si2siharder". Si to si harder? What could it mean?
Second, given the frequency and similarity to CI (continuous integration), this could really mean that it is indeed just a "internal testing branch". However the name is rather uncommon, meaning that you have to explain this to other people working with it, whereas "nightly" for example is a well-known term.
Third, "testing2" looks more like a proper name to "internal testing branch" that you don't have to explain its purpose. There could be several testing branches of course, but the point is - there has to be a specific purpose for them to exist. Like for example testing a particular feature, or dedication to a specific team.
