You will see the seeding stage (seeds appear on the plants), but if your plants were sick they will die before the seeding stage or will give only seeds without vegetables. Carrots are prone to disease, but if you plant them with a space between each cell the chance of productivity will be higher.

@tardy hound You can set custom spawn points, the easiest one you can do is an example "Twiggy's Bar" which you can enable by un-commenting one line in a server config file. DM me if you'd like specific details.

I can see the values there, but it feels unnecessary lengthy and prone to errors doing so (I also used the 41.39 version properties, just realized the page is set to stable version but that doesn't matter at the moment). I can open the *.tiles in text editor and see the plain text parts of it, but not sure if there's an easy way to parse it? It will unpack the files into an .xml (reference) and .png. Most of the files you're after are in UI.pack or UI2.pack. Using the outputted .png files, I cut and pasted it all by hand. It's a lengthy process, but I had a lot of time to do it back then.
I wrote a tiny tool, for Un/Packing .pack files. .pack FormatThe .pack files contain all used textures in PZ.The structure is the following: Features:1. Unpack: .pack files into seperated .png files (extra info is saved in a .xml file)2. Pack: .pack file is (re)pack with the ....
Also, in regards to 41 vs 40 stuff. The wiki isn't updated frequently enough to worry too much about stable vs iwbums.
I would recommend any 41/iwbums features you do add though, have this notice box at the top of the section https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Template:Testing. An example of its usage can be seen here: https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Weapons#Build_41.
The most important part of this, is that it adds the page to a category: https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Category:Testing_branch. This allows us/people to go back and work through the pages, removing the notice, once build 41 goes to stable.

im playing build 41 iwbums. Tailoring, how do i get "fabric"?. i have sutre needle, needle and scissors in open inventory. I have ripped many clothes and tried to right click on each of the items and scoured the "B" menu crafting window, and all the skills tabs.
@thorny iris "fabric" are ripped sheets, denim and leather strips. Make sure you also got a Needle and Thread in your inventory

Bites are still almost certainly terminal, in my experience

Did some reading around - looks like bites being survivable earlier in the game was actually the result of a bug, which seems to have been patched as of 41. All signs point to bites now being 100% lethal, though you may still be able to stave death off for a time by eating well and keeping up with your bandages.
In this case, prevention is the best medicine - armour up, when you can!

I did just test the thread out, though: tearing up both t-shirts and pants seem to have a chance of giving you a tiny amount of thread. Likely extends to all rippable clothing

Walking while aiming is definitely stealthier than normal walking, but it seems that you only gain sneaking experience while crouching

Fished 4 and got 2 from each one

OK. Here is a technical one. Do you earn the same amount of skill each time you add a bandage? IE does a bandaid/ripped sheet/bandage/Sterilized ripped sheet/bandage all give the same amount of EXP?

They don't get faster nor stronger, only strength affects the latter

@vestal sun they can currently only be found in wardrobes. They are equally as likely to spawn as "Normal Hiking Bag" and "Duffel Bag".

@light adder Might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you can uninstall the radio, glove compartment, and other misc stuff inside the car as well (You can right click it on the side of the vehicle panel), if you have Amateur Mechanc you'll gain an additonal 75% XP (With books/fast learner stacking with it)

I am playing the basis game (downloaded last week). I have my base set up pretty good, but no sure what to expect from winter. Will i still be able to farm? will i get cold? and in the latter case, does an antique oven fix that? even if the room is quite big?
I'm slowly working on updating https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Furniture page, ideally for build 41, but I also found the https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Containers – it has some unique info (e.g. container icons, including vehicles), but most of the info is already on the Furniture page or could be incorporated there – Containers page is getting out of date too, as it was mostly updated for build 39 and some info there doesn't apply anymore (such as corn plants which were removed). Should this page be kept and updated with the new content or slowly phased out with relevant info being moved to Furniture?
Most of the work is Vaileasys' as of some time, but there have been a bunch of contributors too; the wiki is free to edit though so feel free to contribute too 😛 Would be really nice to have up to date info for when build 41 MP drops

Pretty much, we're still trying to do the b41 pages, I'll be inactive on it until around the 20th.
I think B41 is fine, especially as 40 is not really getting updates, e.g. https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Game_Modes was updated for b41 already. For items such as clothing etc. there is a separate section until MP comes off and a {{Testing|build=[[Build 41]]}} notice in the appropriate section

I'd say it's fine as long as you leave the b40 info there and put b41 info at bottom of the page.

Like last year or something I was working on the pzwiki pages for the businesses in the game, it was quite difficult to do since I'd have to get the map, get the exact number of the parking spaces, plus for the vast majority I have little to work with.
I stopped bothering with furniture pages as it wasn't never comple for b40 either, though some things changed too – some stuff was made movable or disassemblable, few names were changed and new tools were added, though I think no new tiles was really added yet

I might have done some images wrong, so if someone finds an issue let me know – I might stiched one of the couches tile wrong, I'll take a look later, but some tiles have issues in-game too. I'm not sure if I added the right image for Oakwood Bench as two of these are found in two tilesets and I migth have missed something plus there are those three seems to be unused tiles I posted before (grey plastic chair, two benches and red theater chairs) – I might add them as unusued/removed content somewhere and maybe check tile properties in game files or somehow spawn the movables in debug (something I discussed in https://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php?/topic/30869-ability-to-spawn-all-movables-in-debug/)
Stats are based on what I see in build 41, though the only differences should be the names and pickable/movables properties – bed quality is only visible in recent 41 builds by default, but should be the same in b40 and could be seen with a mod prior. I think no new tiles were added in B41. There are no overlays added either, those require extra work, maybe someday.
Currently, it is possible to spawn movables in debug item list, but only the ones that are defined in script files, such as Antique Stove or Mattress. Would it be possible to add an option to spawn more movables without adding them to the script files? Or populate the script f...
I might add tables and copboards next, then signs, but I'll see if I'm up for a task 😛

Hey @jagged rock ! I'd say take a look on https://pzwiki.net/wiki/PZwiki:Community_projects Are you playing regular version (40 with multiplayer) or IWBUMS (41 without multiplayer)? Most of the wiki is prior build 41, but there's some work already for Build 41 – if you want to update things ideally, you'd want to keep existing things for build 40 and add a notice for build 41, but eventually when it comes down from beta, all stuff will be updated to build 41, so I wouldn't stress too much on keeping build 40 up to date personally, unless it's the version you're playing

I have a ton to add yet, but I've been thinking of moving items out of electronics section – new category for washing/drying machines, computer to communiction (it was teased it'll eventually work; sprints are there too), containers to storage and move the rest to miscellaneous – doesn't make sense to group them game-wise as aside from the washing and drying machines in b41, they don't even drain any electricity (yet)

I thought the Barrel is there, but that's a different time, the ones here have open top (from smithing). There are those sweet smithing tiles too

id love for it to just be tied to metalworking, with lower levels giving u rly rly mediocre metal tools or high chance fo boggling up the smithing process

Ladders would be a nice thing between sheet rope and stairs. Not as strong as stairs, but way less resources and levels, and stronger than sheet ropes while still requiring some carpentry.
also you can't start building sheet ropes from ground levels. Would be nice to have this ability with ladders

I often get confused about items' sides, some only have 1-2 sides and some change appereance when put on a different side
I wanted to add mannequins, but I'm confused over how they work in b41 – there are 3 poses for male and female and two color variations (white and black), however in b41 they did change to but they seem to change depending on what's worn (It's hard for me to guess when exactly – not sure if it's a bug of feature) and they can be rotated – they are also 3d models instead of sprites, though the poses are the same and the 2d models are what appear on https://map.projectzomboid.com/
I'm trying to make an american football goal, but I have nothing in-game to compare about; I tried looking online and it seems to be tall but not wide, yet there's a wide element out there for some reason and I don't know how to assemble it…

Randomly generated implies they can pop up anywhere. From what I understand, they only appear in predetermined locations. So while the locations they spawn are chosen from a set list, they’re not truly RNG. meaning we can map them as we find them.

The game doesnt like weed type plants on non-grass or non-dirt tiles
the boxing ring doesnt join up well right now. i think they spliced the textures up incorrectly
the american football goal has been there for a while in the editor, but i dont think any vanilla buildings use it yet

id say the 2nd one is correct as the iso view does play trick on the eyes
if you cut/paste the image into photoshop and then skew it 26.7 (or -26.7) you will see what it looks like flattened

I've been doing some experiments on flame bombs and pipebombs to see how I can improve their pages. Pipebombs' AOE is about 13x13 squares and do little damage to zombies, starting few flames. Flame traps' AOE is about 12x12, and starts a lot more flames

Actually, there's two different set of tiles in location_community_cemetary tilesets and the one above (as well as the closed equivalent) seems not to be used in-game, at least the placed graves use a different tile

Removed all the links to the forums from my changes, and I still encounter that same error
Even removing all the links in the changelog on that page to the TIS blog post still cause the filter to flag it, with the same error as my previous screen shot.
