At the begining it really felt like they were building up Norisuke to be a villain (especially with that scene) but then he just...never was?
Sure they kept his moral-greyness (if you could even call it that) with how Josuke was only second-priority to him and if it really came down to it he would let him die if it meant protecting his family, but overall it just felt as though he suddenly became much more of a good guy
I have to wonder if that might have something to do with tha fact that the chapters were released monthly instead of weekly
Sure Araki probably has the general story planned out beforehand, but maybe this gave him more time to change his mind on certain things
I mean he did decide against Fugo being a twist-villain because he was going through some stuff at that time

In the Disney+ series Monsters at Work, there's an episode where Mike and Sully have to babysit a human child that wandered into the Monster World (not Boo, a different one) while the green crab or whatever fixes their door I think
During the episode the two go to a baseball game, where Mike says "I think my rotdog's gone fresh"
So if food in the Monster World can reverse-spoil, it makes sense that the monsters themselves would reverse-stink over time
