Decks with good search (straw hats, doffy) and decks with a lot of draw (ace) can afford to get a bit greedy with one ofs

It probably also helps to make your strats less transparent cause with how simple one piece is you can usually guess your opponents next few turns if they follow regular line of play without much thought

Booster sets will have key units and commands, but the majority of the pilots are found in starter decks

Unless you like… 0080, AGE, Unicorn or Zeta

So the ratio is starting to balance out

i find it sick when you overdraft memory and then an effect gives you memory so it's still your turn

so i would like it if your opponent can do it too at instant speed

If anyone wants the TLDR;

There was no foresight planning put into their set 5 (The first gamefound). They left essentially no room for error on getting set 5 out to backers and stores. They proceeded to get hit with massive production problems that required their full attention, weeks in delays, and still had printing problems after the fact. They rolled out the set 2 weeks late to their most convenient customers in France, and there are still countries that don't have product 3 weeks after France started getting it.

Since they had already reserved printing services for set 6, they could not budge on the gamefound dates for set 6 despite the fact that a lot of the public did not have set 5 yet.

Their goal for set 5 was 2.5 mil. They hit 2.3 mil and made it clear they were able to stick to around 2 mil per future gamefound. So, their goal for set 6 was 2 mil.

Gamefound backing was a bit better than 50% of last time, probably finishing at about 500k if it wasn't canceled early. Some folks had suspected maybe they went way of the retail backing since retailers got better offers upfront to help LGS support.

Nope.

Retail sales were about 1/3 what they were before. A downgrade of 900k.

Goal was 2 mil. Only hit 1.1 mil. The team is probably now discussing if they can put the game into cryostasis until a new opportunity ever arises, if the game will just coast on what it has for a while, or if the game will get shut down within a few months.

Most people who were interested really liked the gameplay, the lore, and the art, but there were a lot of people who did not want to take the risk on getting a second set of a kickstarted idea before they even had the previous set in their hands due to production problems that would deter just almost any store that wasn't located in France.

Yeah the art, gameplay, and lore for altered are all fantastic, but the management for the game itself was crazy.

Also, on the whole game found shipping issue, in the US and a hub city, I still haven't gotten my box of Set 5. It's wild how much they fucked up, but it really sucks because I do really like the game

Borsalino moves another card to life, possibly another requasar if you stacked top of deck

And since borsalino’s a blocker it likely reached trash again before you took more damage

Which puts it just out of range of standard medium-level units

And Riddhe's link effect means you can't ping it to chip away health- it has to be actively attacked to get its HP down

Honestly, Thunderbolt looks like the best of the SD G Gen cards revealed by a solid margin? Phoenix isn’t bad either though.

G Gen Io Fleming doesn’t have the Earth Fed trait so in some regards he’s dead on arrival; G Gen Mark Guilder is a different flavor of Kira but one that only activates on pair turn instead of during paired attacks

Justice Gundam EX is genuinely bad for standard play

Effectively a vanilla 6554 blocker, when you already have XX54 Blockers and XX54 vanillas with lower levels and/or lower costs

This one is just lmfao

I guess in a team match it can be a search for you and your partner

But it also gives both opponents easy setup

Also also, there were glimpses of Barbatos Lupus Rex in the livestream

We got new cards to try and combat the aggro spam that’s been prevalent

But ironically, aggro decks are using some of those cards to improve their own gameplan
