I have the same commitment issue, i'd say that you should draw the base of the drawing (I hate drawing i'd rather just paint directly too).
Here a lot of perspective and general composition doesnt follow the reference image. So I'm assuming this is why its hard to commit, because inerently a lot is "wrong" or rather does not align with the reference.

Also you should paint on a board that has the same ratio than the reference. Its 10x better for mapping things out. And then later crop it or ajust it to the size you want.

I hope it makes anysense, keep it up tho : D
