Yeah the Destiny exotics are always very unique and cool looking. Even if Marathon has “exotic mods” that provide similar effects, all of the guns sort of look like the same class of “legendary” weapons.

Though I think a dev mentioned they were experimenting with very rare “exotic tier” world weapon drops in Marathon. The problem would be, that it’s so rare, you would never want to take it out of your vault.

Armed with what little space design cues we had from the trailer, I set out on the extremely scientific process of modeling gun parts from players' alpha vault screenshots and putting them in a blender (metaphorical, and literally Blender 4.4).

The problem is, is that this entire artstyle, dating back to Wipeout. As well as this artist's most recent work is sold to Adobe Stock, and a lot of the vectors and stencils are available for free/purchase on the adobe site. So, Despite the fact say Joseph follows her, an artist in the department just sees the stock assets available for their program and uses them. Is bungie at fault? Is adobe? Is the artist for not CC'ing their work? its a very big grey area. Where its probably not maliciously stolen, never-the-less their entire style is out their. Monstercat uses it as well as valorant. And this artist has called them out as well. Even E-sports ORG like dark horse have used her assets.

So do you know what a stencil is? A stencil is essentially a "stamp" of a peice of art with just the black vector and no colors. Tons of brushes have like a "creator" stamp of the pack etc. Its extremely common. So maybe the artist just thought it was the sig and just scrubbed it out unintentionally. Using Vector packs isnt a crime if they are available. As N2 has stated they are available. but wasnt uploaded by them

I can imagine this being difficult to avoid when you have a lot of third-party asset contracting. Quality is difficult to safely and efficiently delegate.

I'm sure there are policies against it and efforts to defend against it.

But those policies need a clear cure when they fail, and I hope they go further and work with an artist who clearly has a huge upstream influence in and impact on their art style. Could turn into a whole feelgood story.
