You have to set it to so the gyro input only takes over the right stick when you pull LT , so that you don’t have to hold the controller still while running around, you still look and turn with the right joystick like normal, but when you actually aim down sights you can do the precise fine tuning by simply pointing the controller in the direction you want to aim, it takes a lot of calibration and fine tuning but once you get it right you’ll be as fast and responsive as a mouse and able to compete against mouse players c and you’ll never need aim assist again. Plus its a lot more immersive, it feels like your controller is the gun

I started using it because Arma doesn’t have any aim assist on controller and most people play it with mouse, so I adapted to even the playing field. It’s a pain in the ass on Xbox, I have to use a 3rd party device called Armor X Pro, but the app has every setting imaginable for calibrating it. But PS5 already has gyro in the controller and native support in most games, not sure how customizable it is but in marathon it should just be a setting to enable it on PS5.

It definitely takes a little bit of getting used to but it’s worth it, you’ll be finding your mark in a fraction of the time it takes on joysticks.
