Thats me from today on! Solo players. Dont have any friends playing Marathon, so I was for 50hrs queuing as a Crew Fill. Terrible experience most of the time unfortunately - I bring good gear, get matched with freekits. Often they also 'snatch' the best loot from the kills I mostly contributed to, but because I have to heal and repair, they always run and loot the warden's, tox, etc. Also other runners.

Solo is way to go IMO. I just did a round today, and had a quite a blast. It is even more hyped, because you do not have any other to rely on when you bring on good gear that you may lose 😄

Would love to have better matchmaking tho - at least based on loadouts. Ranked will fix this, but still.. ranked will be only at weekend. Wish they could add loadout-based mathcmaking also for NOrmal runs

As far as I know, MMR will be used for Ranked mode. But for normal mode, I cannot say, I get matched too randomly in my 50hrs of gameplay. I noticed that sometimes they want to match my Level, but not even that happens often, and I get matched with beginners in game too.

I think given the circumstances the settlers were in, there wouldn't be suburbs or metropolitan areas. All of the people that were planet side were generations of scientists and engineers raised on the marathon . Very unlikely to see complex road networks and cities ( the colonists were wiped out before it could be formed)

Seeing all the queue time complaints makes me think the issue is going to be far worse on the weekend when the player base gets split even more for cryo and ranked mode. It'll likely impact areas that haven't felt it much yet. Not to mention the duo matchmaking which splits the player base even further.

I'm from the middle east (probably on EU servers) and already, pretty often, matchmaking takes between 3 to 5 minutes, some times even longer. But very rarely shorter than 2 minutes (solo), something has to be done

Rook is a melee demon because of the claymores wait for the team to split up and bait the first guy around a corner and pop a claymore right before he comes around, heavy melee and he's down, another and he's dead. Double claymore his box and chill around the corner, both of his teammates push together thinking they'll get you if the guy you killed gets Triage'd he dies instantly to double claymore. If they don't have triage the guy who goes for revive dies the third will either push or hold an angle if he pushes he dies to melee if he holds an angle use your gun to finish the guy that got claymore'd and now it's a 1v1

My problem with fo4 is that it's not a good rpg. If it was advertised as anything else but an rpg it would be fine...er. Story just doesn't stick, sidequests are almost completely unrelated to main quest or character growth. Dialogue options are an illusion, this is my biggest gripe with it. There's literally no reason to pick anything but sarcasm option every time because it makes zero difference lmao

I actually really like the balance Bungie struck with gear risk and progression being separated. I can be thoroughly mid (and I am), die losing the best gear I had, and still grow most of the time if I appropriately prioritised my objectives.

Have folks tested out TTK with knife when you make sure to stand spaced back enough so that you don't lock into the lunge animation? The hitbox is still massive, i wonder if lights get even better when you just hit folks with the tipper

I would bet a dollar that cryo has each team starting in their own bespoke puzzle/pve section and that you wont actually cross paths with others until a bit further in. Otherwise it'd just become rat city to steal eachothers keys ASAP

CYAC gives quality of life upgrades, NUCAL gives bonuses to defense/healing, TRAXUS gives weapons and mods, bonuses to ping, MIDA equipment (all the grenades, ammo packs and so on), and bonuses to agility, ARACHNE gives advanced weapons and mods for them, plus bonuses to melee damage, and revive speed/buffs, SEKGEN gives cores, and bonuses to abilities, cooldowns

Off-ranked/cryo days for gear and cash grind, weekends generally ranked for when you want the good shit. If you get keys, switch to Cryo. At least thats my plan
