Someone mentioned something really funny to me and I try to think of it like this: Rooks are like a punishment system in a way. If you're in lobby for long enough that you've stayed around the 10 minute mark, you now have to deal with Rooks because they spawned in super late and they become like a late-lobby enemy type.

Its not " winning ", it's just playing the game though. Extracting with loot is what the game is about. The PvP nature of the game is the main thing that stops that from happening.

So in general the PvP aspect of the game gives an almost immediate negative reaction to a large portion of the community. Which explains the huge drop in population so quickly. People are immediately met with negative game feedback loop which is just incredibly dumb gameplay design

The only negative was the PvP making the game unrewarding far too often. Yeah the traxis intro mission requires you to hack a pad - kill a commander and his team of heavies then scan a cargo crate in one run - while watching out for other solos and having enough ammo to deal with the commander - I have gotten very close but never quite made it
