Also, and this is entirely anecdotal evidence from my own playing and meeting folks in the field, but I have noticed... many Marathon players are slightly older, and many times returning Bungie players even if they skipped Destiny but maybe were around for Halo. If this is a big portion of the player base, working time hours will drop more significantly than with other games.

It's kinda sad that theres no Rooks in the solos at all. I understand why, but it feels like it removes some of the tension when you've fought 3 runners, seen the exfils dis. and found 3 more bodies.

I have found that if you remain in for the full match and go in the final few minutes to exfil, often there is one squad left or at least 1-2 guys camping the exfil trying to be clever, but it's so obvious now that your team just has to approach from a few different directions and pinch them out in seconds.

Honestly, I am pretty impressed at the amount of people actually using a mic and communicating so far in Marathon. It is really refreshing to be able to coordinate as a team in real time.

In the meantime there may be configuration settings you can change to try to at least get a stable 60 fps.

Yes and they happen en masse with Bungie games when there is a release and corresponding surge of logins. Not all are affected but the phenomenon has been around for a while with Destiny. If you have never been able to get in yet, it's possible it could be on your end. The weasel networking error is typically a user end issue but during launches like this they get more widespread.

To be fair there are a few really decent graphics options in there. FSR with dynamic resolution scaling works really well for low end cards.

If you don't have a lot of Vram -Dont! Smash the the texture quality to max.

Anisotropic filtering just set it to 2x for 1080p/4x for 1440p

Also shadow quality will be one of the biggest slowdowns for FPS too and screen space AA. Same with draw distance.
