A lot of people hate the color schemes, but personally I think the vibrant colors allows for better visuals fr seeing enemies and shit. A lot of extraction games get so bogged down on being dark and gritty, it makes ratting and seeing things impossible to a point that people artificially brighten the game.

Brighten the game in marathon? You'll probably be blind outside, but do ok in the dark corners and hallways.

probablly it will be really similar, only thing that may change is the UI of the game due to various peaople (myself included) complaining a bit that loot is difficult to differentiate from one another (Mostly because the models for the items look exactly the same)

Much of the loot was easy to learn at a glance but the offenders (looking at you weapon chips, implants, shields and cores) stood out pretty heavily in a game about looting on the go and not wanting to be stuck there mousing over every damn thing going "Is this an upgrade?"

Indeed, it does look good and I really like it! But it will take time, maybe a cool idea for differentiating are little icons on the corners of the item telling you "Ah, this item will help you're gun be more effective in X case" or "Ah, this is a red thingie that focuses on being more agressive" And honestly, its not bad as it is now because of the pacing of the game itself that sometimes you can stop and read, but if you want to be fast and furious (pun intended) it could be a cool idea that some agument or thing that you equip tells you what works better for what

I think anyone that didn't like the server slam should return their preorder/not buy the game. You shouldn't spend money on something you won't like and that's the best possible demo we can get before launch. I'm sure there's bugs they'll fix, patches they'll do, and things they'll adjust on day 1 but if the core loop wasn't hitting; it is what it is.

That being said I'm sure plenty of people are all in now that had doubts before. Not to pit two bad bitches against each other, but I think this can stand against Arc Raiders. I enjoyed that game but they're both different enough that I think they won't fight for the exact same niche.

Well, its an ideology war, due to the games realeased that focus on being Fun for the player or Fun for the public, arc gave you a bit of both and also gave you social interactions, if another game may "risk" that some people play that game even if its completly different, they will try to make their game best, or their thing best. Imagine this, you are a boss and you have two teams and tell them to have a proyect done, one does a job that is really really good, it does everything you like, it has some flaws like everything in life but it is really good! and the other team made something with the same base but completly different execution, focusing on being more for a certain public and doing things as they know, you realease the ideas to the public, the first team goes first and peaople LOVE IT, you realease the second idea and it works for their intended pourpose, but because the first group of peaople don't like much the second group idea, they start to hate on it because why the hell not, that is happening with marathon and arc raiders rn, and also, embark and the marathon team really like each other like buddies
