I am semi new to the series yet I’ve been aware of its existence since I first got a hold of a bungie game.

Marathon being one of the first games bungie put out is interesting to me as they have ips like ONI that could also get some love yet they choosed to continue the marathon trio which I find very enjoyable

Although bungies destiny is what I grew up on , ~~cough cough I’m 23 cough ~~ and I find that worlds lore very enjoyable - marathon is another behemoth of intensely great writing and monolithic storytelling that is sort of locked by the consoles in the first 3 games.

I really want this game to succeed. Not just because I like it, but because I think it deserves to have a chance to shine

In addition, I have always loved ARGs for games and I think that bungies way of making such ARGs is top notch

Although now I wonder— were the mijolnir cyborg soldiers considered the best of the uesc’s military might? Or do the uesc have some other insane weaponry at the time of the current marathon?

Almost like Arthur is an adentic AI and Tycho is another team member.

Question is now if Arthur made a Tycho itself or if a Traxus* Tycho AI was placed there with Arthur// Bastion.

Also could be that Arthur was a Tycho AI adapted//optimized for the colonists.

And we are seeing that obviously Tycho doesn't lose its own sense of self when within a suite.

since this is the lore channel, can we just talk slightly about Arachne? ||and how their liason, Charter, was a previous Runner and an assassin? The qustions and implications this raises. Like, did his consciousness become like an AI? Is he rampant? How long has be been around if Arachne's been around since the Marathon left Mars?||Absolutely mindblowing snippet to get so early in the game. Arachne is more than they appear and I think despite appearances they'll actually be super important to the story

Ties into a theory of mine. I think we never where human. We are AIs, and CyberAcme gaslights us into thinking that we were humans for some reason (to indebt us to them?)
Like, the Sekiguchi add, theyr AI talks about how we took our first step towards selfiteration.
I think the reason Sekiguchi is the one faction not in the slam is that they are the ones to reveal the truth to us.
This would solve many things; right now CyAc seems to be the "main" faction, if its revealed that they tried to manipulate us it would "free" us from working primarily for them.
Would explain how Charter is an exrunner and an AI, we are too.
Would explain why we are amnesiac.

my country doesnt support discord quests lol, but if you go to the Direct messages menu at the top of your server list you will see a list of your friends with some other buttons above that. Look for the quest button and thats where you can start your quest

as for how to complete it, its probably something like play or steam the game to someone in voice chat

Interesting bit of lore I just unlocked. There was apparently an unknown felini unit that roamed around Dire Marsh. It has active camo, and "doesnt emit a signal". Yet, doors that came in close proximity with it opened and closed. The systems did not reflect them even being accessed. This wasn't much of a security concern, unless it wandered over to quarantine.

It's a little thing, but I hope there's skins/gear themed around the battleroids that were undercover in the original Teu Ceti Colony. They passed for human, so it'd be an interesting way to take the shell designs.

Oni constantly tells us to not care about the 'petty laws' of UESC and to break them. We are also treated as having 'no rights', especially in the eyes of a megacorp like traxus. We are not treated as if we are 'good' but instead captives. We may be being used for cyberacme's ulterior motives.
