hey all, got a question for the lore nerds. at the end of marathon 2 I thought the pfhor wiped out Tau-Ceti. Is this still canon? Also, have the pfhor been eliminated by Durendal at this time, or is that later?

It would require more energy to reach the same speed as something with less mass, but there is no air resistance in space so that aspect wouldn’t be a problem. The mass of a similar-sized ship purely made out of metal would probably also have a very large mass.

There is a chance mida killed them in a terrorist attack.
There is an extremely small chance it's literal reboot of marathon and there is alien shenanigans afoot

Yes, according to current reboot synopsis, the colony was abandoned, but a few hours earlier in this channel was speech about how Phfor's role in all of this could have been sharply reduced (or removed altogether), given that the only solid confirmation of their presence in the form of S'pht was in 2023, before all of the events in the studio, which could have changed the narrative (otherwise why haven't we seen at least a hint of Phfor yet?)
