TO Devs @ Bungie - I played the server slam this weekend and want you to know this is a great first start. As a software CEO, I know the first iteration is never perfect, leads to new and better tech. I very much enjoyed the experience (yes a few things were strange like how I could get one tapped and everyone else I fought ate all my shots LOL). Please disregard the "I'm outraged" noobs who's feedback is only designed to get clicks. keep going with quick iterations, implement container hacking for all them sweet containers that looked hackable.

No not the CPU not handling the game, your GPU has to work through your CPU, a 5070 is on the higher end of performance so having a worse CPU for a top end GPU is choking both of them out.

Okay, I played as much of the server slam as possible and am really enjoying the game. Probably the following things would make it even better in my opinion:

• a compare and batch select option in the menus, and having to press, instead of hold, to equip/remove attachments
• the option to animation cancel using healing items and interacting with objectives
• improving matchmaking time (4-5 minutes of waiting is never fun)
• a rethink of the revive mechanics for finished combatants (either way longer or having to take their body somewhere), and possibly a general defibrillator item for when I might wanna revive enemies.
  -Visual uplift of Perimeter.

At 1440p (2K), the RTX 5070 + Ryzen 7 5700X combo does not have any significant bottleneck. The CPU is strong enough to keep up with the GPU in most modern games, so performance is well balanced. Any minor bottleneck would be more noticeable at 1080p, not 1440p.

The game crashes if I tab out for 2 minutes, I don't know why but as someone who usually likes to check my messages in between games or while the game is loading it was a real issue
The game itself wasn't choppy, I didn't have any huge lag or anything like that, but comparative to other games it felt off, I genuinely wish I could describe that better but I don't really know how to put it
The loading screen between games is a huge problem as it does not have a buffer notification. After the Moth it is just a black screen with music so I genuinely had to sit and wonder if it crashed again or not

IMO the biggest adjustment snipers need is a limit on the thermal scope distance. A sniper with a thermal scope can pretty much see and kill someone halfway across the map or more. Bring down the distance that a thermal scope can pick up a runner

Opening menus felt like they had too much of a delay and I was waiting to get killed immediately for trying to get my map to load

With the slam coming to a close within the hour, I gotta say, this game has pulled me in. I was teetering on whether I would like this game or not, but there’s this addictive quality that keeps pulling me in. I can’t wait to see what other things this game has to offer as it develops past launch.

You know what would be awesome? being able to solo queue into squad lobbies. Having two less people REALLY helps reduce your noise and visual profile. That's probably why Rook is the easiest to sneak around. You could just run solo Assassain in place of Rook's UESC mask.
