its rather just any damage you do to players
so, if you defend yourself from another player, you end up getting put in with players who are more likely to shoot players

in this way the game actually causes more pvp

Aggression based matchmaking kinda sucks because over time it moves all the aggro players out to their own lobbies
This in-turn means that new players are not exposed to the constant fear of encountering a "enemy" player - so 1/3 of the entire gameplay design (PvP) is just negated
I'm all for playing how you want (especially given that arc is a casual-focused game), but I god hope marathon doesn't go down that road. Tau Ceti should always feel deadly

The fact that the AI in arc stops aggro once you get knocked down speaks volumes. Extractions with ARC roaming aren't made to feel like an obstacle they're made to feel like a minor inconvenience.
Literally everyone that I've met doesn't care if they are downed at the extraction because they can just leave. Really underwhelming reality for an otherwise really cool possibility.
