I think my biggest tip is to let people know we recognize when you're using ChatGPT to fill our your resumes. If your application says things like, "I'm deeply passionate about", "I have a strong desire to", "My interest in this field stems from", "This role closely aligns with", etc then we know you didn't write it, lol.

Our application includes a question that's just, "Why are you interested in this role?" And you constantly see ChatGPT responses. Sometimes people copy / paste the whole response from the bot, including the part where it identifies itself as ChatGPT lol.

There's a fraction of a fraction of a % that Marathon will out-perform Arc Raiders in terms of total sales. I also really like Arc Raiders, but Embark's strategy has been to appeal to a very broad audience. It is a game with a very casual playerbase. And I don't mean that in a derogatory way at all -- I just mean its a very casual-friendly game. Which is good, if you want to sell an absolute ton of units.

Marathon has always been intended to be more of a PvP-forward experience. It will very much appeal to a different audience. Which won't be as large as the playerbase for Arc Raiders. They're casting a smaller net, but they're more likely to catch the fish they're hoping for.

For sure. Arc Raiders isn't much of a PvP game. Even if you want to play it that way, the combat's just kind of jank. And up until a week or two back, actually being sweaty in that environment just meant 6 guys spamming Trigger 'Nades at each other. Not exactly thrilling gameplay, lol.

I think that the threat of PvP is what keeps Arc Raiders feeling tense. But generally speaking, I do think its much more of a shared world looter shooter than anything else, especially with Aggression Based Matchmaking. Once you're in chill PvE lobbies, you don't have to worry about anyone anymore. Which is strange.

Marathon just ... isn't that, at all. I don't think the Arc Raiders playerbase will love Marathon, and that's okay -- they don't have to. Very different games.

I barely run 70 fps in Arc Raiders and I can feel the difference in my gun fights when comparing to how I used to be able to run 240 fps on another popular shooter.
