You mean Apex? Apex has a lot of great things outside its artstyle. I actually miss the fastpaced movement tech that Apex has in Marathon. I love the verticality in Apex's level design. There's a reason there's no fall damage in that game. I fucking love that. Looks insanely cool to drop a 10 story building unscaved.

Marathon needs more variety tho. Guns feel insanely generic - SMG, Assault, Sniper, Shotgun, Pistol. What is this? Fucking mill sim? Do we lack creavity so badly that we can't come up with cool shooting guns? Unreal Tournament had so much variety in its weapon designs/different fire modes. Bungie said they are taking inspiration from older titles. Doesn't seem like it. Or take the alien guns from District 9 as an example. Marathon is a FUCKING Sci-fi on another planet, with a moon-spaceship freaking get creative or dont even bother.

The armor initially wasn’t tied to achievements. Bungie just gave it out for fun videos or whatever. Being a ninja at the time still, I was one of the first to get it outside of Bungie. I had to change all credentials on my Xbox live account to “do not assist with accounts recovery” because phishing the service lines was so bad.
