Next thing I want to do, mod-wise, since we have the first release, is work on the Numina cards. I think there is some serious potential there. I am debating on increasing the scope of their effects outside of just making exotic Jokers.

hey what's the best way to get rid of 800 identical playing cards, i've made a small mistake and would like my computer to continue functioning
actually it's probably too late and i should cast the run into the fires
the only way to fix this is to make 800 more
Ideas:
Loyalty Card: X1 Mult for every hand you have this card, adds X1 Mult to amount given at end of round (Currently X1 Mult)
8-Ball: When an 8 is scored, create a Spectral card (must have room)
Dusk: Retrigger all cards on final hand of round for how many hands you had at the start of the round (by default this is 4 retriggers)
Raised Fist: Adds the value of your lowest ranked card held in hand to this XMult (currently X1 Mult)
Chaos the Clown: Rerolls start at $-10
Steel Joker: Gains ^0.2 Mult for every Steel card in full deck
Delayed Gratification: Doubles money once for every discard left unused at end of round (for example leaving 2 discards unused quadruples your money)
Pareidolia: All cards are considered Jacks, Queens, and Kings at the same time
Hack: Gains ^0.1 Mult every 2, 3, 4, or 5 played, retriggers every 2, 3, 4, or 5 played
Scholar: Played Aces give X2 Chips and X4 Mult
raised fist X loses its original activation context here, making it a different kind of niche

basically, starts out weaker than purus aurum, but very quickly outpaces them thanks to both not being luck-reliant and also just scaling faster, just like rocket and golden joker's relationship in the base game(well, outside fo the luck reliance part)
also, playing any hand with taurus seems to crash my game because it tried to 'compare number with table', no clue but i thought i'd point it out lol
Hi. I found a crash with Musa Acuminata (the Gros Michel ascended form), that specifically occurs only when it's duplicating itself. Whenever the duplication chance lands, the game crashes, and I don't know why. Here's the crash logs if you need them:
It could be an issue with one of the mods I have installed, but outside of Ascēnsiō and Cryptid, I don't have any other content mods, everything else is either QOL or dependencies.
yeah, similar crash happens with taurus when doing an anything(playing a hand), which makes playing with taurus literally impossible

Ascēnsiō is a content mod developed by MarioFan597 as an extension to the Cryptid mod. It adds Exotic counterparts to vanilla and Cryptid Jokers.

well, outside of an infinite joker loop happening in what seems to be an uber-niche crossmod scenario, the joker works just fine!
new issue: contra logos seems to count every card played so long as your hand contains a 7 or a 4. I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but the joker description definitely doesn't indicate that being the case.
What mod do you believe is causing the cross mod issue?
Honestly, I am not entirely sure, but the culprit may be that changing the values on the joker seems to make it spontaneously duplicate. If you somehow have it constantly raising, it infinitely loops. i'd have to test it further because it might just be a problem with the paya's terrible additions mod or could proc on other value raising jokers, though non-constant value raises might be less capable of infinitely creating exotic invisible jokers.

ideas (names are bad): Debilis- disable every boss blind, boss blinds size is /2, which increasing by .5 every ante. exotic version of chicot.
cucurbita- +9 sell value of every consumable at the end of the round, increase this operator for every 2 consumable slots you have (not counting those from negative consumables), capping at exponentiation. exotic version of mellowcreme
exemplum- at the end of the round, create a negative code card. ^1.03 mult and chips per code card in your posession. exotic version of blender.
magister- -2 chips and -2 mult. increase both operators for each ace scored, capping at exponentiation. if there are more than 3 aces scored, then each ace scored afterwards triggers the effect. reset after hand played. exotic version of scholar

Yes, I do plan on at least getting the mod to a point where each Joker has an ascension. The issue is that things have been unstable scheduling wise for me for a while now. I wish I could give a date as to when I expect it to be out, but I can't at this time. Will try to have it done before the offical Balatro update though.
Is it expected that the new balatro update will break it in some way?
It's possible since it currently requires cryptid and it greatly modifes the base game. I have hope that it will mostly stay in tack with an smods update.

I noticed the pair/3 of a kind jokers having this problem. When they scale up the game crashes. On vacation so I hope this sends eventually lol
Im not sure the name im not home atm but it was the exotic jokers that buffed pair/2pair/3of a kind that scale when played

They are the ones they gain xmult for playing the hand, reset when you dont, and levels up the repective hand at the end of the round

Ok, updated my setup to the latest cryptid, smods, and talisman. I think part of the issue was resolved when cryptid updated and testing on the new version 0.5.14. I avoided a crash that happened when just updating smods that way. When you get home from vacation and are still facing the same issues after updating, please send me a copy of your crashlog so I can narrow down the issue a bit more. Thanks for your help in trying to make the mod better.

I want to thank @solar jewel for going out of their way to add a Simplified Chinese localization for the mod. I believe it will help the mod reach new audiences that it otherwise wouldn't have. I am beyond thankful to them for going out of their way to do this, and they have my sincerest appreciation. I will try to make the mod worthy of that effort.
