if u really struggeling it might be cause its not balanced yet for multiplayer. tweak a bit in the server settings with dmg and health. maybe try 80% or sth. otherwise. all equipement, on your current max possible lvl, with the resource u found so far ?

Well more dmg leads to more heal.
If u hit one enemy u heal like 35-50% if u hit multiple enemies u full heal.

Heal / dmg does get effected by that one ring that boosts special attacks.

The health scaling is fine but not super huge. So not worth to go full vit because of it. I play it usually full crit or with max 10 - 15 points in agi

I prefer it as fully main weapon works fine but using it as a secondary like just take and use it for skill and go back to your preffered weapon.

Working on a Greatsword Build video and of the 3 its kinda bad XD very situational. Not terrible by any means, but the other swords are better.

Depends on what u want. If u just want raw dmg. Then is the souleater not the best choice sure. But its agi scale and there are guns agi scale too. But for example no str gun for now.

I didnt timed it too. But its not really long. I wouldnt recommend it for boarding. At least if u want to rely on the skill. But everything else works fine

As a plan ol greatsword its fine. But when compared to the other 2 greatswords it has like nothing going for it. It has the worse stat scaling, no damage perks, weirdly scales with vit, and that cooldown is awful.

Looks dope tho! It needs a buff.

Would be cool if the life steal was DOT, then you dealt more damage to enemies effected by it. Like poison.

The timer doesn't matter:
Scenario 1: Small enemy groups - don't last long, you can see for yourself whether you're healing in battle or going out of battle at the end and full life
Scenario 2: Boss / Large Opponents Groups - take longer to play a little more tactically bridge time with the pipe eg or use a bandage if necessary but you should probably manage 2 minutes without dying.

The damage is not the world, but the radius is enormous. if you use it in boarding: you also hit opponents in the lower deck or those above you.

The attack pattern is very good and allows endless combos/stunlocks

And i can just go on

compare that to dueling and stalwart tho. Passive 20% crit damage buff at all times. Easy to get early on. You dont have to think at all when using it.

Then Dueling. If you get good at perfect blocks and you flood agility, it can literally do some of the most damage in the game!

Just sayin in its class its not super appealing.

Yeah sure i dont say everything else is bad or sth.

But block / parry is not my playstyle. I literally used dodge from beginning to the end ^^ it also feels more agile with a dodge playstyle instead of standing around and waiting for an attack. I know u attack and parry in between but still. The warrior for example: i can kill him faster stunlocking or dodge-attack him then waiting for his attacks so that he wont block anymore.

Eh that might be a bit too much. If they reduce the cooldown in anyway maybe make it less effective at healing.

It needs a damage buff. which is where my poison idea came from. Since its got the worse damage scaling, give it a way to deal better damage overall. So enemies effected by the life steal get a debuff, you would then deal more damage to enemies effected by said debuff.

I would say yes. 100% if u want to push the heal and skill dmg itself. Crit build is unnecessary if u try to rely on the skill

If I was doing a strictly Soul Eater build I wouold run both crit and vit so that during the cooldown time you have something to fall back on. Then get the most from the alt.

Building menu. U need seed on u or in bonfire range. Most seeds need a special ground u find in area 2 with pickaxe. (Around farms) Trees / bushes (include banana and lemon) grow everywhere. Sand / shore / grass but not on your buildings

It often happens on high-end hardware (RTX 5070 Ti / 5080 / 5090, Ryzen 7/9, etc.) but isn't strictly hardware-limited.
Quick Workarounds That Have Helped Players
Try these in order:

Lower graphics settings temporarily (especially Shader Quality, Effects, or overall preset to Low/Medium) before fast traveling to Tortuga. Load in successfully, then raise them back if it stabilizes. Some players escape the area and avoid leaving the game while in Tortuga.
Disable NVIDIA Frame Generation / Reflex (if using an RTX 40/50-series card). This has fixed it for several people. Also try setting upscaling to "Auto" instead of a high multiplier.
Create a temporary character on the same world:
Make a new character, load into the world.
Exit and reload your main character.
This often clears the loading hang

Is there a way to STOP a resource from respawning? I'm trying to build, and several misty orchids keep respawning despite being within the bonfire range. Tried changing the terrain and putting down foundation, but neither helped. Most resources I could deal with, but these flowers have that fornite chest sound, and I don't wanna listen to that all the time.

yeah that's because the game has a built in autobackup system, rocksdbv2 and then v2 backup, edit the backup file, delete the main (backup first to desktop manually in case you mess up lol) then turn off steam clould, launch game, click the update button when it asks to pull from backup

really its the mods fault (and the players), mods in EA games are tricky, so the ones that seem to corrupt character saves for some reason in this game actually change the base character file coding instead of adding files or the usual stuff, so you have to do a full manual backup to an earlier save, took me like 4 hours to figure out last night but we saved their characters lmao

The usual steam cloud tricks don't work because the mod corruption actually gets uploaded to steam cloud, again unusual for most games, but its because the actual character log option and manifest files get corrupted internally lmao

I'm setting up my old PC for that exact reason this weekend, Its a Ryzen 9 5950X, 64GB 3600MHz Ram, 2TB Gen4 NVMe Drive so should have no probelm running the windrose dedicated server. It doesn';t need anything that powerful to run your own server at home though, 3.2GHz quad core cpu, 16GB Ram and about 50 GB free drive space.

Top right of your screen when you're in a biome will tell you the biome. With some exceptions most of the biome islands are in blackbeard sea control areas with correlating levels, IE coastal are in lvl 1-5, foothills 6-10, swamp 11-15 there are I believe 3 or 4 (non starter associated) coastal islands in neutral water and one foothills, all swamps are in blackbeard controlled waters

You can copy it from the appdata r5 folder

go into v2 backup and pull the character backup data, copy the entire character folder, then send it to him, all he needs to do is paste it into his v2backup folder, turn off steam cloud then launch the game and select the option to apply the backup

you can then close the game, turn steam cloud back on and have it update to local files instead of from cloud the first time so it saves the change you made

Granted I've only to date used that process to save peoples characters if they were corrupted by mods so idk if the game will love a duplicate character on another account or not because they're numbered specifically lol

parry is key. Go in with no food/potions. There's no penalty for dying so take advantage of that. Go in with the mindset of "I'm gonna die, but I'm gonna practice learning his moves" just get comfortable with standing in front of him waiting for his attacks to come, and attack when he's broken stance

If you just practice blocking without attacking you’ll learn his move set and speed of attacks is really slow and simple. If you block right before a blow you don’t use any stamina. The only time you need to dodge is always when you see the flash of red and hear the distinct sound it makes on any mob or boss

If you want to make the practice even easier dump all of your talents into vitality and use your best endurance and vitality foods. It will be more forgiving while you practice. If you run 2 piece conquistador and pikeman even more so

Just know that you are getting diminishing returns for your stats in precision past 20. If you are good with that, and have enough vitality to stay alive and stamina to attack and dodge with that stat allocation, then you’re fine 🙂

Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well? I love this game, as does my wife. We've been playing it for a week now, at least 6-7 hours a day (yes, we're on vacation, hence the extra time :). It's exactly the kind of game we love. However, we've noticed a few things and don't know if these features are missing or if we just haven't found them:

1. Items can't be destroyed; you can only throw them away.

2. Not all items can be disassembled.

3. You can build multiple ships, but you can't give them commands (follow, attack, etc.).

It would be great to know if this is possible and, if so, how.

Are there any ways to point out these missing features to the developers?

you can get it ofc, but its more of a quality of life that i can access one ship, but for the second or third one you have to jump through hoops, it breaks with the experience youve had for the first 30 hours of the game

or atleast, thats how long it took me to upgrade and finally get two ships

Saw that afterwards, just got on discord for the day and saw that was posted not long ago, then scrolled

I usually keep a stack of wood, a bell, and some coarse cloth on my ship. It’s helped quite often

Those are deep ocean fish if they’re the purple ones, not to mention they can take a while to fish up, some people’s rng is better. Took me hours to catch both

You don't even need deep ocean to get them

Wish there was better news but it's completely rng, there are set percentages for you catching each fish based on rarity, you could get them in 5 mins or 5 hours
