I'm currently built for 40 agility and 20% crit rate from a dueling saber and 2 piece privateer. Ring is slash damage and I put talents into % damage rather then crit rate. Probably could be optimized better, but it works.

Honestly, for me, crit just feels bad because it's not consistent.

That's just how they built it. You get to order items from that biome after beating it's boss. Doesn't seem to with for swamp mats from what I read though.

Realistically, it's probably faster and easier to go hack up pirates at some of the larger foothills PoIs with lvl 15 gear.

I got way more gunpowder than I was consuming playing through those at level. Shouldn't be hard to farm it with over leveled gear.

I thought I was going mentally insane for a while, but it turns out if you have a black beard ship, you can’t add different customizations besides the blackbear customization same thing goes with the brother in and the default. One I think is just for all, but I chose the black beard one not because of it looks I completely despise it looks, but because of its functionality, I don’t really carry resources in it. I just like to battle with my ship and I very much do care about the look of my ship so the devs can fix this or if they want to do something about this, please do I really wanna have a battleship, but not look like a Blackbeard ship.

Any ship can use any sails but you're right that hull colors are variant-specific and it's sort of unfortunate.

The stamina buff that you get from your ship/base. All of a sudden, it won't recharge itself while there is an active timer. It does the animation, but stays at the same time.

You have to beat the local threat in order to be able to order resources from that area. Hence needing to beat Hands first in order to get a resource from the second region

Sadly, you don't get any additional resources for beating the third local threat atm...

when you gather it there will be 1-3 smaller bushes that will not give you the option to collect them... if you take a shovel or any melee weapon to it you get seeds at a higher chance or at least I seem to have it drop seeds that way.

Cannons doesn’t really start having an effect until you level up to frigate where you’ll get two sets of cannon that you can combo with, for now I’d say just pick whichever you feel more comfortable with, if u want to shoot faster and more, perfectly ordered is good, if u want more dmg, tempered or devastating may be better

a half floor distance (which is what i think you have) is the easiest to build and still be able to properly create roof ridges and such without fighting with snapping majorly.

if you REALLY want a smaller ridge, you can create a snapping point with horizontal beams making a triangle shape, like a V, and the two upper points of the v will be about half a small floor apart.

no, of course it doesnt look bad, its just too hard imo to work with in the game's design to make it worth the effort.

I think your best bet is to stick with a 1 horizontal beam overhang, which will let everything line up easily for all the roof pieces you put on top of the buildings. If you make the overhang the same size on all 4 sides of the building, i think it will make it look correct.

there is at least one roof style with smaller looking overhangs that are special pieces, but you will need to collect all the parts first for that.

fully depends how you play. I started by getting all to 2 for the less basic recipes. Im a builder at heart so i ended up choosing smugglers first so i had money for merchants, and then tortuga for the build recipes to get to 4, then buccaneers, and i chose brethren last. I am just getting to the second boss now, and i have all factions at 4, except for brethren, which is at 3.5

if you are more about sailing, then you want your frigate so you would pick brethren as one of the first ones you max.

Once i beat the second boss, my main goal will be getting a frigate so i can earn money faster to buy all the final recipes i don't have yet, and only then will i worry about progressing to the endgame

In a solo game all the respawn timers are based on real life clock, so i would guess its meant to be the same on a server. Perhaps your mod screwed up the numbers somehow?

For anyone struggling in the swamp zone, this is my setup. (At level 9) All stat points in agility. I’ve maxed out muzzle reach, deep impact and bullseye, however if you want to swap talent points out for reload perks, or other skills that’s fine.

With the blunderbuss at level 10, it 1 shots nearly everything in the area. Plague crocs take 2 shots, and the plague crusher takes 3 shots.

You do burn through gunpowder and ammo quickly, so you will have to farm those resources, but it makes the swamp an absolute breeze.

I use the Soul Eater as a secondary weapon for cleaning up kills and heals. I find it to be the best paired with the Dragon’s Breath.

well i suppose what Kindath said is true, if you don't need gold for anything because you're not getting recipes, then you can get silver for gold, but trading up will always be at a loss. If you don't want to wait to get enough coin you can trade, but its more profitable for yourself to just gather it from blackbeard ship raids.

Everything on your person, and in your ship's cargo holds comes with you. Any crating pattern and curio pattern comes with you. Reputation with the factions does not, because it is tied to the world save for some reason. And every place and quest you've done will stay done and looted. So you could roll up to a 'new' PoI, and all the chests will be empty because your character alraedy did it.

You can make a new set of high level gear, and make a new character, then use it on your old world.
All the PoI would be new to the new character, and it'll level remarkably quick if it's in a full set of lv 15 stuff.

Using that I got an error message and it seems overlays are causing some problems but the main problem is a NVdida DX12 driver issue. Solo, Captain's Choice game, zero issues so far:

I built 12lb, level 11, Tempered guns, then upgraded them to level 15. When they were 'done', they cleared from he upgrade menu - expected, always happens when you reach max - and then when I went into my inventory, the guns were gone. I've searched every container within the bonefire range, the ships, nothing.

Logged out, logged in a different character for about an hour on a hosted server, then logged the orignal character back into the solo game, exact sdame thing : 12lb, Tempest guns reach level 15 during upgrade, and diasppear.

In both cases they had already been Ascended.

If it’s red it usually tells you why be it not enough resources, not stable, or if it’s a decoration it has to be within bonfire range

thats the thing... i have plenty of resources, and bonfires. just keeps hitting a point where i cant place anything more

Only thing I can think of is if your bonfires are next to each other you're attempting to build in an adjacent bonfire zone that doesnt have the materials in the storage

Anyone else unable to play solo/offline worlds? My game just freezes up during loading in everytime. new world, old world, doesnt matter. I have to force close the game. I can play on my buddy's server no problem but cant play on my own?

N stands for nose although the front is usually called a bow on a ship, the other is a 1 for battery 1

The frigate has 2 sets of cannons on the port and starboard cannons at which point it’ll show a N, II, and I

N could also stand for nominal since it’s only usually 2 forward facing canons so they offer a token amount of damage

There is a limit to the bonfire height. It's pretty high though, think of the bonfire like a sphere instead of a circle on the ground. There is also integrity issues. But i have a beacon like 30-40 floors up. It's out of bonfire range.
