Some people got the issue of not loading their regular save file after updating the server files. Instead it created a new world on every server start

I have a feeling the copy your dedicated server files to your local client, open game, then copy back is the key component fixing the issue. Again I suspect perms issues here

I know the game files are highly over written as the server runs, I see it in both my headless VM's on Windows VM, and my docker. IT makes sense, at least to me, that if the game cannot write to the Saved dir, or there in, including the .jsons, it's going to create new worlds every time you boot into the server.
I personally had non of these issues once I brought back a bare metal recovery, and turned off cloud saves before loading the patches on the VM, docker, and client.

for the docker one, make sure wine/proton is updated, I had an issue with ubuntu lts having wine 9.0 on the repo, crashed to main menu on load, updated manually to wine 11 and it started working

I accidentally started a second copy of the dedicated server. One was running via the .bat file, then launched one in steam. This caused it to crash. I closed both windows.
Upon launch, had new world generated. Saw my old world was still there in the directory so updated the .json file to point at that. Booted up and world is back, but lost the last 3 or 4 hours of progress.
I'm looking through backup folders and not finding anytime timestamped between this morning around 8am when someone was playing, and when all that progress was made. It seems like maybe a corrupt file was created from launching two. I would have expected backups to be completed fairly often. Any ideas what may have happened? Am I confusing myself by referencing modified date on the files?

Hello! Apologies if this has been spoken about already - a friend of mine and I have had server troubles - but unsure if its the same issue as others
Im hosing and he is joinin my server but also DCs and crashes every 10 to 15 minutes 2 days a go but before that the DCs were happening every 40 minutes and seemed much more stable - is there any fixes yall have or ran into, makes the game pretty much unplayable

My game just turns my computer off. If it doesnt happen when I hit play in Steam it happens after I try and load a save file. I submitted a ticket and have heard nothing. Looking in the eventviewer it shows multiple warnings that files related to windrose are causing the pc to run out of memory.
I've increased the amount of memory available and its made no change at all

Dedicated servers have been broken since Saturday night, no word from the devs on it ... too busy counting money probably.
32gb of ram and gpu has 16gb. I increased the available in the page file settings

interesting. 32 is way more than enough, but page file won't really help that much. I don't think you're running out, unless you have some crazy workload in the backround while trying to play

just checked, my client hasn't gone above 10gb, usually hovers around 8gb
only applications running are discord, steam and windrose. I've done a full uninstall and reinstall, verification of files, removed all display drives and fresh install, disabled hdr, dlss, fram generation, reduced fps cap to 60, reduced graphic settings to as low as possible. At this point my only thoughts are to update the bios or potentially replace the psu.

yeah, we can restart our server and play for about 10 minutes, then everyone gets kicked and nobody can connect until it is restarted. Zero communication from the devs about this problem, which is unfortunate becaues it looks like it is impacting 100,000 players based on the huge drop in player counts from SteamDB

remove the _v2 if you haven't run it since the update
R5 has one of the json as well, the other is in the world.
windrose Plus is a mod, that for me caused numerous errors, and issues, I would start be removing WR+
docker-ce 29.4.2 changed the security policy and broke a bunch of things. Append this to your docker-compose.yml service and the server will work fine again:

so my backpack issue is server side, Running dedicated brocoli in docker, just updated it today, windrose+. Backpacks dont work and inventory locked at 16 no mods
I would open a ticket with them, From what I've seen a lot of this is on the server side, and not necessarily the devs. (Though I will say the update implementation today did cause server hosts to do some thinking outside the box)

Hi everyone, I need help with a save issue.
When I launch the game, I get a message saying:
“Some of your save files could not be migrated to the new game version.”
It shows two damaged player records:

The game says they will be deleted if I confirm, so I haven’t clicked “Confirm”; I only exited the game.
I already backed up my full save folder and tried restoring older backups from 05/01 and 04/28, but the same error still appears.
My saves are located in AppData under R5\Saved\SaveProfiles.
Is there any way to recover or manually migrate these player saves without losing my progress?

server on one PC, client on the other, but the instructions above say to copy the client folder's files to the server to fix the "creating new worlds" problem.
try the reverse. copy the world from the server to the client.
then run it locally and see if that works - if it does, try sending it back.
and of course, back it up first!

the fix is not the copy back and forth, it's the opening locally that's rewritting permissions.

unlikely, but possible. The game server needs write permissions to R5/Saved so it can create the new database folder. Lack of write permissions makes it create a new world on each restart.

Not sure if this is the place - but if anyone can help me figure out what's going on with my server, it would be much appreciated
You are both, (I believe) having the same problem which is the saves not being correctly migrated from today's update, and permissions not being transferred correctly.
The biggest indicator is if you look in your:
<\windrose\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles\Default\RocksDB_v2\0.10.0\Worlds>
You will see that every time you start/resart the server a new folder (WorldID) is created.
The solution is:
one you need to have directory access to your servers saved directory, (Either FTP/SSH/ETC..)
If you do not have access to this, you need to contact your host, open a ticket, and basically wait.
If you do:
You need to copy the entirety of the:
\windrose\R5\Saved\
and import it into your local machine
(where you have Steam installed)
Open the game, load the save at least once, in single player.
This is the process that fixes the files, as it's rewriting permissions now missing on your Server.
then copy the entire directory back to your server, at the same original location.
(I am currently fixing the previous "guide" posted earlier, as it's missing some steps)

Thanks a lot for the explanation. I do have access to my hosting files, so I’ll try copying the entire R5\Saved directory from the server to my local machine, load the save once through Steam, and then upload the fixed Saved folder back to the server.
Just to confirm: before doing this, I should fully back up both my server Saved folder and my local Saved folder, right?

Seem to be having the same issue as others we play for about 10-30mins and then the server just freezes and crashes, using bisect w 16gb of ram and 4 players. Is this a game issue or the hosting issue?

The dockers, (as far as I've seen though one user claims different) are one or the other for connections, if you set direct IP, invite will not work.
not just dockers, the game itself won't run both. enabling direct IP disables the invites. happens on a non-dedi or bare metal too.
DirectIP has been fine and the server has been public and gotten traffic, just after this last update I've been getting issues

If USE_DIRECT_CONNECTION=true, set DIRECT_CONNECTION_PROXY_ADDRESS to your LAN IP. If it's false (using invite codes), set it to 127.0.0.1.
Some guides suggest you have to play with masquerade firewall rules, but try this first.

So disabled Windrose+ and my backpacks are working again. It was working prior to the udpate. Is this something that will be patched?

the mods are pretty fast about banning the bots, report via discord
if you report via the DM to discord, it' helps kill them at the discord level and not just this server

yeah, logs would generate on any issue where they're talking but the server or client has a problem. but when they're not even communicating, the server doesn't even know it missed the call.
If the shortcut doesn't work, can also open Steam settings and add "-windowed" to the command line
think of it like dialing the wrong number, the person who 'missed' the call doesn't know there was something to miss

Any basic recommendations for people suffering far more crashes to desktop with todays patch? I play on a dedicated server, my friends seem to be having no issues. I can only make it 15-20 mins or less before the game completely crashes to desktop with no error displayed.

My friends are trying to join my dedicated server, which is hosted through the windrose dedicated server tool. It says their version is out of date with mine. My steam had no update and I can't force the server into the new update version. Otherwise it breaks my server and makes it un-usable to even me. For now I am the only one that can connect with it.

if you use an ftp program though, make sure the copy/download mode is set to binary
what build is your server running? can find that in the appmanifest_###.acf file in /steamapps/
the line should be "buildid" "23065343"
same for your client, you'd go to your \steamapps\ folder wherever you install steam games, and check appmanifest_3041230.acf for the same thing

where (DIR) is your directory where you have it installed
if you're using steamcmd. if steam itself, hm, maybe validate the files?

your server has a DedicatedServer.md file with examples. scroll down Example "WorldPresetType": "Medium": and the like
copy from WorldPresetType to the bottom of the example, then change it to "Custom" and edit the numbers within the acceptable ranges
acceptable ranges are listed above the Medium preset, like: 3. MobHealthMultiplier: Defines how much Health enemies have; Default: 1.0; Range: [0.2; 5.0]
if I had to guess, I'd expect it's resetting due to a syntax error or something outside the possible ranges, or Custom not being in properly (maybe the capitalization?)

if so, you need to use steamcmd, not steam. steam requires a login, steamcmd can be logged into anonymously.

my bare metal update script just uses the steamcmd api to check for update necessary, and steamcmd itself to update. super simple.
I JUST restarted it like 6 minutes ago after one of the hangups (40 minutes of uptime tho!). So I probably just missed the update.

Having an issue setting up a dedicated server. We started a local server yesterday and were trying to migrate it to a dedicated server today. We followed all the instructions, including verifying the WorldIslandId. Every start, the dedicated server would generate a new world. We loaded the server locally again since there was an update so that the world files could be updated. Then tried the dedicated server with the updated world save. Same issue. I was using a dedicated server a friend and I setup. We were playing last night. Today we try to log on to the server, and I'm seeing a message like this.

Preparation (Local PC)
• Close your local game completely to ensure the database files are not "in use".
• Go to your local save path: %LOCALAPPDATA%\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles[Your_Steam_ID].
• Locate the entire folder named RocksDB_v2.
• Crucial: Open your world folder inside .../0.10.0/Worlds/ and copy the folder name (the long string of characters). You will need this for the config files.
Server Preparation (FTP)
• Stop your Dedicated Server before making any changes.
• Navigate to the server directory: /R5/Saved/SaveProfiles/Default/.
• Delete the existing RocksDB_v2 and RocksDB_v2_Backups folders on the server to prevent conflicts with old data.
The Upload
• Upload your entire local RocksDB_v2 folder to the server.
• Important: Ensure your FTP client (like FileZilla) is set to Binary Transfer Mode. ASCII mode can corrupt the database files.
Synchronizing Configuration
• Open ServerDescription.json and WorldDescription.json on your server.
• Find the "WorldIslandId" field and paste the exact folder name you copied in Step 1.
• Save the files.
The "Patience" Phase (Booting Up)
• Start the server.
• Note: The server may crash during the first 2 or 3 attempts.
• Don't panic: This happens because the engine is indexing the new database and processing the migration.
• Simply restart the server again. It usually stabilizes and loads your world correctly by the 3rd or 4th attempt.
Summary Tip: The secret is moving the full parent folder (RocksDB_v2), not just the files inside. If the server keeps creating "extra" worlds, double-check that your WorldIslandId matches the folder name exactly

Alright so I'm on steamdeck, the game was working at least to where I could get into my private server but now after the update I hang on the map load screen for a morbillion years and then black screen and ends the game. Back to steam main screen.
Edit: I just loaded the game on local without running a private server and the game let me in. So this is crashing me whenever I play it as a private server. Sigh.

Hi, I tried the steps you suggested but it didn’t work.
I backed up everything first, including my local %localappdata%\R5 folder and the server R5\Saved folder.
Then I copied the server Saved folder into my local %localappdata%\R5, launched the game through Steam, and tried to load the save in single player. However, I still get the same migration error with the damaged player records.
I also tried older local backups from 05/01 and 04/28, but the same issue keeps appearing.
Is there anything else I can try? Could this be related to the player files, account permissions, or the world ID mapping?
I'm writing up the guide now, the previous guide written by someone else was not entirely complete, I''m almost finished and should have it posted shortly

After doing some testing, the world save is not relocated. it's "split" between the original RocksDB and RocksDB_v2.

I found WR+ to not be a reliable mod on my servers, and had multiple conflicts with other mods, even the base game.
I can't seem to find my Nitrado server on the list in game even though it's updated to the latest version, anyone knows about this issue?
Honestly I pretty much stay clear of any mods requiring UE4SS right now, as they all seem to be pretty unstable

it's just a matter of placing the mod files in the ~mod dir and matching them on the clients as needed per mod

was having stability issues with setting a hosted (locally on my LAN) dedicated server setting it to the 10 max player count, sometimes a pair of people would be on other ends of the map and the server would crash for everyone. an error log for the issue was never recorded. was this issue fixed in the latest 0.10.0.5.120-073042fb* patch that was released about 24h ago?

after creating a fresh character they CAN login, but, the original world data is missing..
I also managed to get an old character in by using the character editor on NexusMod, the character retained its items, skills, equip, ship, etc, however had no map uncovered...
Have tried doing a full fresh reinstall, copying over world file data, making sure config files reference appropriate world etc. very strange

i had this issue, check the version on client and verify on dedi that the R5/ServerDescription.json matches up
i spent hours too after the recent patch getting it sorted
i am absolutely 100% positively connecting 1 pc running the client, to another PC running the dedi via steamCMD.
I see server queries occuring on the server machine when I do stuff in the game on the client PC

so on load screen on client up top should say build version
make sure that matches up with the json on dedi, restart dedi and thats what got it working for me

thats the only thing from your guide that could have made any meaningful change
that could be, but that file "should not" effect client side
it's basically a pointer file for the server settings
because the \windrose\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles\Default\ didnt exist on the client.... when i put it on the client in %localappdata%\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles\YourSteamID\ it..like...felt like it didnt even belong there.. why wouldn't it be there already 😐

well, if you're not running a server locally on the same machine, you won't have those files
understood, so then thats not the issue. its the mismatch between the server and client ServerDescription.Json files...

basically, verify your R5/ServerDescription.json on dedi matches your client
if it doesnt, change it on dedi to be the matching version
after so much headbashing my desire to game is effectively nullified. i desire now only unconsciousness, good day
then restart dedi, verify it didnt eff off, and then should be good to go
you can't/should not just change your version numbers in the .json file. you need to fully update your server files
This update fully adjusts/relocates save directories
trust me i did all the variations of uninstall, reinstall, check, verify, and it was overwriting the server dedi from steam isntall to a previous version
but this latest update, the one im on, seemed to fix it
your uninstall/reinstall updated your server files to the new version. I 100% if you only edit your version number in the .json you will be stuck in the same place
but when that new patch was released the other day things borked off

in %localappdata%\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles\YourSteamID\
cat ,.. that directory is not where the ServerDescription.json goes.
again, that file has nothing to do with conecting to a remote or dedicated server from your local client files
it is a file that resides on the server, and is referenced by the server, and the server only.
if your server was local to where your client is installed, it would have an effect.

as says Jedi's guide above. This is the only meaningful change i had to make to get everything working again
if thats not enough, fresh install the dedi and move the backed up world file folder into your dedi , in my case C:\windrose new\R5\Builds\WindowsServer\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles\Default\RocksDB\0.10.0\Worlds

Is there a way to recover a save, as in roll back? I recently logged into my world - grabbed some silver from a chest, then fast travelled to Tortuga. However Tortuga never loaded and game froze on a black screen for more than 10 minutes - no crash. Forced to restart the game, but now my save doesn't load at all.

In this folder everytime you start (or Stop) your server, I can't remember which it makes a copy of your world folder.

rename or delete the one thats in there ofc..
you may even have a more recent backup in the RocksDB_v2_Backups folder inside the SteamID folder, but that one may put you in the same situation, so trial an error on your part.

The world is correct, but the state of the world is at least a day or two old.
I would start by verify the ServerDescription.json is still correct for your server
you should be able to locate that file in:
\steamapps\common\Windrose\R5
This is where your steam installation of Windrose resides
sounds like you have backup restored. you can look at your backup directories and check the modified dates to see if you can pull a more recent.
It would be the same process of copying the world folder into the respective RocksDB AND RocksDB_v2 folders

The game is VERY CPU intensive. I personally cap my servers at 6 players, and this is on very powerful hardware.
10 players is really pushing some Ghz, and for that I would be running a Ryzen Epic damn near 5Ghz
Even with the new optimization updates, it's still a CPU hog.
I would almost be certain your CPU is struggling if you get 10 concurrent players
was only with 4 with the 10 limit set in the json

The one in RocksDB_v2_Backups is part of the new update, and may take trial and error seeing if those are stable, meaning, copying, replacing, testing several times.

it is not about what mod is "tied to server size" ANY one mod can cause issues. Windrose + is for example NOTORIUS for issues,.. ANY UE4SS dependent mod is NOTORIUS for causing server stability issues.
Piling on Mods is a sure way to cause server issues and any one mod and break another and kill a server.

I also run the bell mod, with about 15 other mods, all pak files manually placed in the ~mods dir.
With only that mod, I would be looking at server population size as the next factor, as every doc I've seen specifically calls out not to over populate a server even on the best hardware. It simply does not perform well, and I've specifically seen what a full 8 person populated server with thousands of entities does. For lack of better words, the server's not happy. I now limit to 6 concurrent max. Servers sit at 30fps and never drops. Players never complain.

I would start by turning on Game play statistics in the settings, and keep a close eye on the server fps
i had it set at 10/10 with the MoreFastTravelPoints_50_P.pak for the 50 (they offer 20/30/50 iirc) at most i had 4 with the 10 limit, but changed the json to 4 after issues

I've gathered that my most recent DB copies of the world are corrupted.
No matter what I do, it keeps changing to a different instance. But if I pull up more backwards compatible world saves, it's the same world but with an older world progress

Crafting area is in the front with grass roof and whatnot. That was moved off to the side and the crafting area is with stone support and whatnot.

if your server is creating new world folders every time it starts up, this is the issue we were having on dedicated servers. The fix in the Pin will resolve this, however you will have to adjust to your setup as you are running locally.
the key point is to clear out the RocksDB & RocksDB_v2 folder, (preferably rename, or make sure you make a backup and delete them), and re import your entire back up of those folders from a previous version.
I am not 100% sure this will reset the permissions on those folders though.

My game will launch, I pick the character and select play, and it bricks my computer, locks it up completely and I have to force restart my computer after the last update.

my friend in games screen went black and right before it happened he grabbed 3000 piastre and 300 guinea to head to tortuga to buy some blue prints. only to come back into the game after the crash to find it missing out of his inventory. thats permanent progress missing as the items sold came out of chests i can never open again on this character. Is there anything that can be done to fix this ?

I'm trying to override world progress from my single-player hosting days, where as the dedicated server back-ups seem to be at fault.
getting on the game this morning my middle mouse wheel will not work in game. works out of game and it worked for the last 3 days of playing. its a single player world.

In my case, the world does appear, but when I launch the game I get a message saying some save files could not be migrated, and it lists two damaged player records. I haven’t clicked Confirm.
Should I still follow the same RocksDB/RocksDB_v2 world folder process, or is there a different step for fixing damaged player/account records?

how many weeks is going to be until Kraken Express fixes the completely broken dedicated servers? Trying to decide if I should just cancel my service or not because this lack of communication about the problem is a huge red flag.
Another of those that are getting DX disconnect errors in logs 🙁 can't play the game for more than about 10 mins before it crashes and I can't get back to desktop without a hard reset 🙁
my dedicated server has been doing this since Saturday night and Kraken Express is completely silent on the issue. My host (Bisect Hosting) says they contacted the devs, but apparently they don't seem to be too interested in communicating to us or server hosts about the problem. I understand that Early Access comes with these kinds of problem, but this lack of communication is a huge red flag.

Same issue here, dedicated server is creating new worlds every time it starts up and setting the server description file to that new world Id. It will not load the correct world save from before the update, it is as if it doesn't exist.

The world folder is in the new rocksdb_v2 folder yes, server is running on windows installed from steam library tools, execution is by the bat file.

Looks like a widespread issue with dedicated servers running from steam, I have same issue. I am technical and it will not load the correct world files just makes new ones. The update broke something bad.

Preparation (Local PC)
• Close your local game completely to ensure the database files are not "in use".
• Go to your local save path: %LOCALAPPDATA%\R5\Saved\SaveProfiles[Your_Steam_ID].
• Locate the entire folder named RocksDB_v2.
• Crucial: Open your world folder inside .../0.10.0/Worlds/ and copy the folder name (the long string of characters). You will need this for the config files.
Server Preparation (FTP)
• Stop your Dedicated Server before making any changes.
• Navigate to the server directory: /R5/Saved/SaveProfiles/Default/.
• Delete the existing RocksDB_v2 and RocksDB_v2_Backups folders on the server to prevent conflicts with old data.
The Upload
• Upload your entire local RocksDB_v2 folder to the server.
• Important: Ensure your FTP client (like FileZilla) is set to Binary Transfer Mode. ASCII mode can corrupt the database files.
Synchronizing Configuration
• Open ServerDescription.json and WorldDescription.json on your server.
• Find the "WorldIslandId" field and paste the exact folder name you copied in Step 1.
• Save the files.
The "Patience" Phase (Booting Up)
• Start the server.
• Note: The server may crash during the first 2 or 3 attempts.
• Don't panic: This happens because the engine is indexing the new database and processing the migration.
• Simply restart the server again. It usually stabilizes and loads your world correctly by the 3rd or 4th attempt.
Summary Tip: The secret is moving the full parent folder (RocksDB_v2), not just the files inside. If the server keeps creating "extra" worlds, double-check that your WorldIslandId matches the folder name exactly!
right click the game on steam, select properties, it should say something like “files” or “browse files”, Click browse files, it should go to your location where u downloaded the game, go profiles, 0.10.0 whatever the version is, then Worlds and characters, go to worlds first it should say something like 7916/839;6823773_backups let me know when u get there

My issue is that while I am finally able to get my pre-update backup world folder to load to a local game and it's not spawning a new world folder, I load to a blank map -- fog of war covering it, no fast travel points. My boat appears on the map, as does my baby boat, but they don't seem to be where I last had them (notably they're not in the same place and they were both with me at my base when I logged out). The icon for the last quest marker appears to be in the approximate location it should be based on looking at the windrose map website.

I have my games saved to a separate hard drive from where my player saves are. The server JSON file is saved where the game is installed, not in in the AppData folder.
k and i realised it was not the world that got reseted but my character progress
so the ServerDescription.json is being automatically rewritten when i run the StartServerForeground.bat.
In the RocksDB_V2 folder there is only my world folder.
I have removed all the new worlds teh server keeps automatically creating.
in the ServerDescription.json i have added the world ID for my original world No back ups exist because i have deleted them. I have a back up on my desktop of my original world.
So i logically copy my original world into the worlds folder.
Now when i run the StartServerForeground.bat and run the server... ServerDescription.json gets over written and a new world ID is added that world didn't exist seconds ago but the server creates a totally new world and ignores the instruction to use my original world.
like my level, items and all the thing i found completly gone or hidden again

Dumb question but when WIndrose loads do you see a "Create new character" screen, a different character than the one you progressed, or your character with a lower level?

the simplest direct route to the problem here is the dedicated server tool does not allow us to directly select the world and is always looking for a backup and if it doesn't find a backup it creates a new world

Well, I'm finding it VERY strange that it will finally load my world save (doesn't give me a new folder number) but the map is covered in fog of war and I am on noob island. I might try putting down a map marker and calling my boat and traveling to where my boat is showing on this map now, and see if my base is there. I just don't have the time right now. I would be fine with having to re-open the map, even with re-grinding faction, if my base was still there with all my stuff.
so your world folder is working then? mine is just there and gets ignored
but all the quest markers etc are there on the map and its a random layout
Getting a version mismatch between players and hosted dedicated server as of this morning. All updated and verifies on server and clients.

hello, I have a question:
I was able to load the save locally after forcing the migration with Steam Cloud disabled.
Before I upload the fixed RocksDB and RocksDB_v2 folders back to my paid BisectHosting server, I want to confirm something:
If I replace those folders on the server, will it preserve the progress of all players, as long as the local files came from a full copy of the server R5\Saved folder? Or could other players’ progress be lost?
I will fully back up the server before replacing anything.
U may just need to play around with moving the files/folders in and out if you’re hosting locally
It should, but yes always backup everything lol, I’m preeettybsure character progress is stored locally and not on the server
Oh wait progress, from what I remember the faction I think is the only world tied progression, not too sure about quests though
Faction is world, level and anything you already unlocked form the factions stays with your character save

This I cannot confirm. The fix is particularly aimed at resolving incorrect world saves , or loading into fresh worlds that should be showing progress.
Your player files are stored locally in the RocksDB & RocksDB_v2 folders (specifically in the Players, and Accounts sub folders)
I'm going off of memory, so don't quote me on this, but I do believe those folders back themselves up similar to the server files on a dedicated. If you look around those directories, you should find *_backups directories.
Before you do anything backup your current directories so you can always revert back, after that replacing the folders in the Players & Accounts directories in both the RocksDB & RocksDB_v2 from the *_backup directories (if they indeed are there) would be the starting point to finding a non corrupted save.
After backing up, and before swapping files to check, go into steam and turn off cloud saves.
JUST A NOTE: All of these "save state" errors/loss originated from the devs trying to resolve cloud save issues. Its my opinion there are permission issues and conflict of file versions directly because of the cloud saves. I have personally turned off and recommend turning off cloud saves in steam, until at least your game and save states are back to normal.

Your issue likely starts there, the guide pinned in this room is a good reference to likely resolving your issue, but you will have to compensate some steps with restoring backup files vs server files
As with anything backup before changing
Stop your server, upload your world folder (e.g: 04A4F36F41134855B3AD6FFA08FD11A1) to /R5/Saved/SaveProfiles/Default/RocksDB/[GameVersion]/Worlds/ on your server.
Open the /R5/ServerDescription.json file.
And set "WorldIslandId": "04A4F36F41134855B3AD6FFA08FD11A1" to match the ID of your uploaded save (It's the folder name).
Start your server.```

You most likely need to wipe out your current server files and replace with backups.
As you are a local dedi expect some progress loss, b/c local typically doesn't tend to restart servers as much as dedicated server hosts do, just a behavioral thing, so the auto backup typically doesn't kick off as much
