I'm really kinda bummed about this game. THe naval combat is brilliant, the building is briliant and the exploration is brilliant, but the combat on land is way to difficult. I know the getgood crowd is gonna kill me for this, but I'm a casual gamer... I can't sink 100 hours into it to figure out combat... THe hit and run, elden ring style combat is just not my thing... Ah I see, do know that if u want to say “keep progress” you’ll have to frequently move files in between offline and server world saves, in this case you’ll just have to locate the world saves in ur default folder in game files, and copy them to a dedicated server, so you can launch the server for ppl to join, that way ur offline world will stay as it is, while ppl in the server do whatever they want

I believe so yes, my memory has faded but I somewhat recall it being one grave for each biome, so since u alr found the one in swamp, u should be expecting to find one in jungle and one in foothill, though that could be a stretch, but I do know for certain that you should try to complete all unique location for jungle and foothills to rule out possibilities

Is there a way to input a map seed anywhere in game? No right? Want to do speed runs but currently it'll be 100% rng based without a proper seed that everyone would use to make things more fair.

Correct it'll be next year. (almost) Maybe a bit later because 6 months is the GOAL, but they could easily go for much longer. The 6 months is not a guarantee. They also need to plan around Valheim and Enshrouded 1.0 launches. If they release an update at the time one of those comes out or near it, they won't get anywhere near the players they'd want.

Do you have more than one? If not you can just delete the folder. And make sure its the RocksDB_v2 one. Game doesn't really pull from RocksDB anymore. But yeah make sure you are deleting the world from that folder or that entire folder.
Might also want to delete it from the backups folder.

some of the materials required for Frigate are only attainable in the swamp area, so you'll have to push through foothill first, I'd say if you're not actively going out sailing fighting ship battle, just keep the ketch for now, use it only as a mean of explore transport, and upgrade to frigate when you started farming swamp

I do get into some ship battles but only at my level... So I guess the Frigate is just OK.

I find most success with just take 1-2 hits in between his attack window, safest that way, though will take a bit longer to pull off, the rapier of thousand cuts and pistol combo works well with this approach

frigate is a major upgrade, and will mostly be kinda required for some side quest since you'll be fighting lv13-15 ships, but yes, if you're only fighting ships at ur level no rush to upgrade yet

Some say only divi divi trees regrow in the foothills. Personally I have not seen it. However after you get merchants and are comfy with finances in piastres you can simply order wood and hardwood/bark from merchants in camp

yep, and if u started playing before May 4, u prob want both folders from RockDB and RockDBv2, safe way to do this is to just backup the whole default folder from my experience to prevent any weird file corruption(though highly unlikely)

long story short, ranged use the reliable blunderbuss, crit dmg ring, agy necklace, marksman set. for melee use anything agility 1h/2h. str/crude weapons are potato. rapier are meh because they only combine with pistols and blunderbuss is so much better that has no sense going piercing, bleeding has the worst scaling between all weapons when it comes to special ability.

you can try 36 devastating + 24 ordered / 36 tempered + 24 devastating, both have good dmg output, the most important thing to do on BB Frigate is to have the key hull, that'll boost survivability by a ton

So i am having a issue with hitting sort freezes my game. Is anyone else having that, before i wasnt having this issue.

I assumed it had something to do with some mods im using like sulfur visual which is a QoL Improvment and visual only so it works client side even if i play on a friends server it doesnt effect his side. I also was using a Stack mod which i dissbled and i think that might be the issue but its disabled and i still causing issues even after removing all mods and reinstalling the game.

i usally disable it before entering their game mainly because i notice that when testing it out with a friend. So i disable it completely as its even effecting my own game now.

I hope or wish they add a stack option for setting when hosting a game you can add like V rising or other games where you can increase stack size and this will be built into the game so if you jump into someone elses server it wont effect them nor you just unstacks them when you store them.

feel like if i gonna go with immersion sure the stacks currently seems reasonable but for me who like to pick up every little thing and even with a ship cargo i still feel the stack size is too small. 15 for iron vs copper is 24 if it was 50 for both it might be find with me thats why i using a mod to adjust this.

basically anything else, plague weapons are good, sabers are great, greatswords and halberds, if you really like rapiers then rapier of devastation is ok, sturdy is a bit worse but still playable, 1000 cuts is the absolute worst

I perfer stacking the Soul Eater, Infantry Musket, and Reliable Blunderbuss because they're all agility weapons and I don't have to spread stats out.
I used to use halberds, but since they can't perfect parry, it's hard to keep your poise and harder to get enemies to lose theirs. Edit: And there's no strength based ranged weapon.

I have been playing with the Soul Stealer. Life steal has come in clutch, especially on boats when there's a bunch of enemies on the stairs you can't get to, just pop the AOE and usually everyone but the Sgt's die instantly.

All of Exquemelin's sites are the "Traveler's Camp"s. So look for the 2/2 tents until one of them says 1/2 or 0/2. The last one of those for me was on a swamp island with four or five other PoI, in a tiny part of costal jungle tacked onto the side of the swamp.

Always be carefull who do you open server for. If you needed help in any way and they are pushy about it its usually red flag. I assume you played solo whole time and then switched to host the game. Then sadly nope i dont think there is a way to revert it. If you on the other hand hosting server that u bought there are like hours or day saves that you can revert it.

Yeah, the people who joined me for multiplayer, helped me get a lot of wood and stone so I have plenty of resources and have started making a much better base, but I lost all my crafting stations and stock piles of food/metal/potions and intermediate crafting items

Gotta read the note next to the first chest and tent. Each of them will say at the end, "I buried all my junk near the tree with a red flag around it.
It can be five to twenty yards out, hidden between or behind other trees, etc. Bring a shovel.

After you buy a worker, there’s a tab to assign them to their respective workbench

They CAN sleep in beds, and rest on benches, but it isn't required. The Doc and Keanu Reeves are from the bonfire, the four 'crew' for the crafting stations give bonuses.
AND then, you can buy 'merchants'. They're NPCs too, but they only exist at their workstation. They don't move. You could have technically infinite of them, but they just kinda stand at their stand.
And having five of the same one with the same npc just looks a little silly.

i think id just like there to be an in world way to do it, perhaps so there is some logic behind merchants purchasing stuff it has to be processed into more valuable saleable items, like wood into planks, hardwood into timber, maybe they can add bricks or something for clay/stone. Plants can be made into food or potions, etc.

id even be happy if they let us build something on the water called "Davy Jones locker" and it was like a floating something or other you can drive your boat up to, and anything you put in it disappears on logout or 1/game day or something like that.

Different topic - just want to confirm: You can only summon your flagship, but if you keep a few different ships and promote the flagship between them, they all keep their inventory when they are not the flagship? so you can kinda make a line of shipping vessels with a little extra juggling work at either dock?

i have one last travelers camp and it keep saying 1/2 and i cannot find the 2nd chest i looked everywhere on the island dug everywhere looked for the tree and red bandana and nothing is the last thing i need for 100% does anyone got any idea ?

Slide your ship up to the shoreline and commence orbital bombardment.
Persist until there is only one tree left. :p
Also, the chests are usually guarded by a leveled up boar or dodo, so if you see an animal around, that might help.

I have the full pikeman set ( before I had 2 piece conquistador/2piece pike) ring of bravery , vitality necklace 2h soul eater and foods .. I was going for a tank build

There maybe a better setup from someone else. Most of my points were in endurance and vit

You want 60 agility with 20 vit and endurance and 4 piece conquistador so you can afford to be hit mid attack every now and then

Unless you’re using rapier or saber I prefer 4 piece conquistador so getting tapped every now and then doesn’t interrupt my combo

If you don’t mind dodging and parrying every single attack then yea it’s better. It’s a personal choice scenario

Also I’d argue soul eater has a better move set but halberd is nice vs groups

Yea tortuga doesn’t actually have any buyers on it. Just has sellers for all 4 factions. Their respective islands always have a buyer, a seller, and a quest giver

Just zoom in just far enough the tortuga icon is visible then drag your map around looking for them. Thats what I did. Otherwise you’ll have to explore the tier one islands until you find the buccaneer quest line which eventually takes you to buccaneer island and tortuga island

depends on your parrying skill, if you can reliably parry duelling is the best of the 3, also has a very easy talent path marathon runner, deep cuts, duellist, deadly finale, you can have very high agi as you don't need crit at all, don't need endurance, only choose between agi and vit depending on how easy you can survive

Yeah, it's probably too shallow between the two islands.

Try using a smaller boat and if you can recall it then it means that it is too shallow of a spot for the Frig

funny thing is that sometimes i was able to recall and sometimes not.. like background computing mechanic can not decide well where to spawn the ship.. currently it's docked just next to the space in screenshot but it's pretty rare to recall it successfully. Recalling anywhere with much bigger space without problems

This is an odd questions.. selling to Smugglers.. I get more for a common silver spoon then i get for and epic incense burner 5 v 1... is that normal? Common is worth more than epic?

Hey community.
I’m writing with a bit of a nuisance question and a request.
I need help getting the blueprint for the Rapier of Devastation or the Rapier of a Thousand Cuts.

I just find rapiers the most comfortable to use...
So much so that I'm still using my first basic one, because no other ones drop :E

I've even created other characters, but still nothing. Anything but rapiers.

the only thing i have found so far is cutting down the largest palm/ficus trees, and it gives about a 50% or so drop rate as long as its all the biggest trees. No actual datamining for this though its just from play experience.

there seem to be much less drop rate from smaller trees
