The only way to catch it would be to intentionally disconnect from the internet at the exact moment you did. Again, your issue is more of an internet connection issue than a game functionality issue. I would submit a Official Bug report.

First parry is pretty easy, second one you have to do basically as your first parry animation is going off

You won't be able to smelt foothill ingots until you beat Richards, you'll have to progress through until you beat him then you unlock the recipes and stuff thats in Foothills.

I think you can also bring stuff that's in your inventory and in your ship's hold

Keep in mind that you don't really need to farm anything except ores

Yup. If you join someone elses hosted game, anything you leave on the ground or build stays with them. Anything you have in your inventory or boats stays with you.
Reputation with the four factions is tied to the world though. So if you burned all your rep tokens over there, you wouldn't have that rep in your own world.

A lot of people have problems in past few days. Sometimes some can fix it by load into different server, others fixing or reinstalling - sometimes it works sometimes not

Yeah i think the best you could do is check game and tech support to look for solution since not specific repair can fix your game

i have a workaround if you need to get in on a hosted game with friends HOWEVER THIS WONT WORK FOR SERVER HOSTING.

Its the NA/EU server that are having issues so if you really want to get in you have to join on either CIS or SEA to get in with your friends.

If you are hosting through service providers such as nitrado you will have to download your map data and host your game on those servers.
Alternatively you could call your provider and have them move your server host location to CIS region or SEA region.

What they are trying to say is that if you did not activate a boarding action, so the ship was actually in boarding mode, i believe they are supposed to respawn infinitely, so the ship cant be defeated without damaging the ship severely and initiating a special boarding mode.

One of our group came in after we did an island, where we dug a hole/chest.
When he logged in, he could already see the hole and chest before he looted.

I upgraded mine (if you mean the survivor set) mostly because it took me ages to find more armors. It makes a noticable difference in fights, but if you are able to get some of the other armor sets relatively early in that case it may not be worth it. I didnt find any until i already had my survivor set fully upgraded however. RNG fun.

you have to blow it up until the ship HP is about 15% or so, then you will see a little crossed swords icon appear and the ship will stop moving.

Then you move your ship beside it, look at the other ship while you're at the wheel, and press space bar to start a boarding action, which you will see a prompt for.

Once you do that, your people will jump over to the other ship and help you defeat the remaining enemies, and once you do, you will successfully defeat the ship.

once the ship stops moving and has the little crossed sword icon, you can either do the boarding action, or you can just blow it up completely with another round of cannon fire, and skip doing the boarding action at all. - depending if its for a quest or not this may or may not be something you want to do.

blackbeard ketch is glass cannon, so its not recommended until you're really good at ship combat. the lesser HP means they will be much easier to kill you.

If you havent yet, upgrade your ship weapons/armor the same way you upgrade your personal weapons/armor

I am not super skilled at the ship combat yet and i was having trouble surviving as well, with the Normal Ketch. I had to switch to the tanky Bretheren Ketch to be able to take on several ships without getting obliterated.

The best you can do is to buy hull ( i hope i did not messed it up ) that gives you that if you repair ship it does not matter if they shooting at you aka it wont stop repair. Problem solved.

Look at the enemy levels too. Start by just fighting 1-3s and then work your way up as you upgrade your ship’s equipment. Don’t be afraid to use green/blue repair kits.

The starting ships are too low with HP so you gotta be carefull. More than two is a way too hard.

after i switched to the bretheren ship and learned how to spam repair kits i am better able to handle larger groups, managed a 6 ship combat when a second group joined the first, and i believe it was 2 2s, 2 3s, and 2 5s. But i went through a lot of repair kits.

This is not the same issue it is something totally different and has occured over weekend. I don't think it is Windrose or the players - something in between with some isp's most likely having connect issues. Most don't have the problem but swapping to one the other regions appears to be working for now until they get it resolved.

Ore and baskets (like what herbs are in) and bales (like gunpowder is in) – re-spawn every 6 hours. Pepper and other crops are on a 2 hour and mobs are also on a 2 hour timer.

The story explains what happened. but the factions all have their own faction area bases. On Tortuga itself, you can only contribute rep and buy from the factions there - no selling. Each of the Factions will only buy or give you Guinea and Piastre for certain items only they will take.

For boarding u want to go in with ur crew, when they go in. After a while, ur crew will "die" and return to ur ship, then its just u. Take advantage of the initial mayhem, and go right behind ur crew, and do the job

The loot drops were at one time all in same places and the islands were all in same place. but that changed with the seeds and the randomized loot. Made it more of an exploration and seeing what you were able to find. If you with friends on a server they may get something else from same chest - you can both swap those to learn the item to be able to craft it. Otherwise its just keep exoploring and you will eventually get everything in the game on your server.

Having an issur with a comfort buff… 5 people playing on a Nitrado server, two people having issues receiving rested buff in our “town.” The rested icon states they are rested with comfort number but the timer is always counting down as if they left. If they fast travel back to another campfire, the buff returns and the circle fills. Its just this specific bonfire.
We have tried replacing the bon fire (even having those affected place it), fast traveling away and back, restarting game, and restarting computers.

i don't know for certain because it depends on a number of things but lights are usually a pretty big usage. I think it depends on how they're generated though.

I think the next most notable thing would probably be NPCs if you've hired all the workers and have them all out, moving around making decisions, sitting/working/eating

If that average armor level says 5 and your weapon is level 5 its the most you can upgrade until you kill him but you should be at that level to stand a chance

Player level has no real bearing on anything besides getting skills/talents, it's just your ship gear

uninstalling/reinstalling won't help, it's not the game files that are screwy, but the player save files... a game uninstall won't get rid of those

Personally I deleted all files and reset them also redownloaded all the R5 folder and it didn't do anything

the cloud would also have the deleted character files, just like your local files do, using the cloud to re-download all the save files isn't going to fix it

if you enable cloud, it may simply download the bad folder again from the deleted character, you're better off not using cloud, but you can try it... if that fails though, you'll have to repeat the steps

But then to get the character back how do you do it? Put all the files back in 1 by 1 and restart the game every time until it doesn't work and you know which one is wrong?

from a deleted character, there's only 1 player folder that needs to be deleted... the other player folders should be fine... no idea which one, you'll have to narrow that down on your own by moving them out

Howdy Windrose Community. I am having trouble locating information on current leveling cap. I am curious if the devs have mentioned anything about keeping record track of all experience gained after capping level? Or does it all just go to waste in the void? Because currently there is no indicator I find that shows they are keeping it and I don’t want to progress any further with P.o.i.’s and main quest if the XP just goes to waste. steam cloud acts as a "backup" kind of thing, like a save on the internet as well as local... steam tries to keep the two identical, nothing's going to break if you disable steam cloud

not sure if this is the place but people on my server are having an issue with there own triangle not showing on the map or mini map, the flashlight showing direction is appearing but not the locations

i use tempered as mains (the big one) and devastating as the upper deck ones (the smaller ones), so i can keep the debuff going at a rapid pace and cycle broadsides for the tempered damage boosted mains

I FIGURED OUT HOW TO FIX THE LOADING SCREEN PROBLEM/RESTORE CHARACTER FILE/RESTORE LOST WORLD (for anyone struggling also.)

-Caused if you deleted your first character in game.
If you are having a problem with Windrose loading screen taking 20-30 minutes + a screen with "QUIT" only, here is the fix.

You will need to
-In steam library, right click Windrose, properties, & disable steam cloud. (I would also disable steam overlay)
-Then go into file explorer, This PC, & Windows (C) drive.
>Then you must figure out which file is the correct profile.
-In the C drive, go to "users", (Your pc username), "App data" (If app data is not showing, click view at the top, followed by selecting "show", & then selecting "Hidden items"), "Local", "R5", "Saved", "SaveProfiles", select the folder that shows as a bunch of numbers that does not include "backups" at the end, then go into "RocksDB", "0.10.0", & then "Players". There will be two folders with a bunch of letters & numbers, THOSE ARE THE TWO CHARACTERS (The current & old/deleted).

NOW move one folder out of the players folder onto the desktop & start the game up to see if your character is back/world is back.
-If the character/world is not back then move the folder from the desktop, back into the original folder, then move the other folder to the desktop, & relaunch Windrose.

ive explored the entire brethren waters in the coastal biome and only see people of tortuga
