Iron Ingot will not show in discoveries because you created it, you didn't "discover" it - The ORE is a discovery and you have it right there in the 2nd slot. Silver ingot is a discovery because you found it like that.

You can build a base in caves with em respawning its just the bonfire that stops the spawns

Yeah, the hardwood is greyed out, which means you know about it, but haven't looted any yet.
You need some of that to make the toolbox, and unlock the recipie.
You also need corn to unlock the mill to make gunpowders. 🙂

Deeky, look at his post, then look at God's post immediatly under it. In his post, there's no golden shiny border around the hardwood and it is slightly grey. In God's post, all the items actually found have a gold border around it. That means he hasn't got hardwood yet.

Might be good to either build a brig or ungrade you guns / haul a bit if youre feelling out gunned. Remeber you want your guns and haul to be at the same lvl or higher to make it an easy fight

Trees will not respawn within bonfire radius. You can plant and grow them within the radius but they wont naturally spawn. As for outside the radius it just takes a bit of time

Yes. some dudes swear they respawn but i farm my plague crushers on cooldown and nothing they have blown up by or ran threw has respawned and the first mire mine zone i found none of that tainted wood i cut respawned either so trees in my eyes 100% do not spawn. and planting them also is a waste of time as they only reward 1 wood.

if i did his build id probably do criticial damage ring, cutlass, marksmans set and those talents because that would make an absolutely MASSIVE second full cutlass stacked shot on boss, you lose a little utility but gain MEGA headshot damage on that pistol

obviously this is assuming your prioritizing the gun more than the cutlass, obv fli is way better choice on prioritizing culass and not setting up the pistol

ye so think of it like this, drake enhances the cutlass damage because you start the fight with a free shot and a 15% damage boost, the cutlass 9 hits buffs the drake by 90% plus the 15%. so if you focus mostly on cutlass take slash but if you want BIGGER headshots focus on critical damage ring.

Keep in mind too that weapons also have stat scaling and the upgrade levels really do matter. If you're using a level 2 weapon against level 5's, it's not going to deal as much damage as you would like

All stats other than vitality have diminishing returns after 20 points, however the increases you get from stat points are vastly smaller than the damage from raw weapon levels. If a weapon does 100 damage and is level 5 but the enemy is level 7, even with those points in agility you're still not gonna do the full 100 damage as it scales down your damage due to the weapon being lower leveled than the enemy

This is personal preference, muskets offer range damage consistency, as where blunderbusses require close range to fully utilize 🙂

depends on how you like to play.
the musket dosnt have to get as close to the target to do its full damage and utilizes the same attribute of rapiers, making it good for a defensive playstyle.

if you want to get into the face of the enemy, the blunderbuss is superior, as it utilizes the same attribute as the saber and greatswords.
while also providing some crowd controll tools

Have you been talking smack about blackbeard? His crew doesn't like it very much! Just make sure its about the villian blackbeard and not the server mod blackbeard, who knows what'll happen then

If you find a low-level camp either in Zone 1 or 2 that have at least 3 to 5 sergeants. Make note and set a bell nearby.

Periodically come back and kill these sergeants to get one gold coins each.

Though realistically upon reaching Zone 3, you'll pretty much can just get purple-rarity relics from fighting Plagued enemies which goes for gold coin each.

Yep! My number one source of income is selling items to factions that drop from enemies in the third region. It's pretty nice, but thats only because of how much time I spend there. If theres a lot of ships to fight in one area though, especially the loot ships with the chest icons, those are a better way IMO but each pirate has their own experiences 😉

Yep! I'm up to comfort level 32 so my buff lasts like 43-ish minutes

hey guys was wondering what is the difference in the active and passive reload speed on the talent tree?

Active reload is when you're manually reloading the gun. Passive reload takes longer but allows you to reload guns without doing the reload animation. If you look next to your shot count at the bottom, theres a little circle icon that slowly fills back up after each shot.

those are both really good options! theres a few others but each one has its own strengths and weaknesses compared to the others so test them all out as you find them 😄

Character level doesn't matter in this case. I'd say only ascend items if you REALLY enjoy them as they're a bit harder to get so its best to make sure you enjoy the weapon first

after their assigned, their effects are applied to the table 🙂 so assigning is all thats needed and then you should see a special icon to the right of each item they can impact aside from the armorsmith as his effect is different

ship consumables are one time used so you'll constantly need more but they do have timers so you can't spam them

Ascended weapons can be upgraded level wise 🙂 and when you ascend they do not lose their current level so whether its at level 1, 5 or 15 it'll stay that level and then allow you to continue raising the level until it hits the current cap of 15

Actually wanted to correct my last message, with weapons and ship parts (aside from naval tactics and boarding partys) thats what it does. With jewlery, most can be ascended with the exception of one ring to my knowledge so you can take those from as low as white to as high as purple to increase the effects they give. There's only one blue ring that cannot be ascended as of now

IIRC, you have to board the ship and talk to that NPC
