This is why I try to say it's subjective because of these debates. I've never been sunk in a BB ship even when 1v9'ing. However, i prefer that playstyle and have pretty good control of my ship, but not everyone has the same experience/comfort with it so it's not the best for them

A tip for anyone having trouble finding ||Tortuga, the Fort, or the Smugglers||, they're always clustered near each-other, so sailing a ring around the edge of their territorial waters will always help you find the next one.

i did not do detailed testing, my server played first with shared progress on and since we had a safe corruption started over wiht shared disabled.
the only noticable differance we had, shared: one payed the ship repair cost, other just cklicked

Dodge a lot, his biggest trick is dodging to the right when he's swinging his weapon so you can stay fairly close and be ready to get a few strikes in anytime he gives you a break

shared - as far i figured out - mean only when you have to "pay" recourses, you do it once, and all other can just click through the prompt, while non shared you have to pay mat per player. on other quest its still all have to build a fire, a tent, .....

I was told the other day that item quality goes D,C,B,A,S so if that is true the green pistol would be the better item. However, the blue pistol seems like a better pistol because you get two shots with it.

there's multiple factors here. for starters, the green does less damage (look at the pierce) and even with a higher scaling, the actual returns on damage from the invested stat points pale in comparison to raw item level. basically blues will always be better than greens because of this

It can depend, mainly on what stats you're sinking into. They'll be relatively balanced for the first while, but upgrading Drake's pistol to Epic will put it on the same stat scaling as the green one, plus it has higher raw base damage.

The stat scaling of D-S... doesn't really seem to do much. It's almost a rounding error at the moment. So each point of your main stat gives somewhere from 13-14 points of extra damage, untill 20. Then a lot less after 20. So it's best to pick the weapon that has the best ability, instead of worrying about rank or even damage.

we might get better ones in future content which i'd love to see, but i think it'd be hard to do as the only thing I can think of would be to incorporate new units depending on which party is used. I doubt they'd give them raw stat buffs as once they hit max level, they're pretty hard to kill

yes/no, progress is character based, no matter if you turn shared progress on or not. quicktravel are unlocked on server base - first to discover will unlock it for all others.
same for faction reputation, its server based, means you all work together to level up factions.
quest are still per player and character profile saved, so you all have to do all quest, but you can be togeter and sink ships in a group and both/all get progres - if in zone

100 atk = power (lvl1)
A tier = good scaling with precision stats

if you fight a lvl 2 enemy he has 120 def, so your weapon would do 600 dmg (not actually but on paper) if it was lvl 2 with 120 atk, but only 100 you loos (dont remember the exact value, but arround 10% dmg)

Plague crocs are usually in the plague areas. But they also have set spawn points in certain PoI. So if you find one, and you want to farm them, toss down an icon in the map to let you remember where they are. In two hours, they'll respawn at that point.

Not.... really. I mean, it claims to make the FPS higher by making fake frames between real ones. But the fake frames are smeared with digital hallucinations. interact with the bonfire, click "settle" and he's happy at your new place blocking your doorways 🙂

if you singleplayer and he refuses to show up, back to main screen and load the world new. will mostly fix strange glitches.

They tend to spawn near the outskirts of the plague areas, usually on tiny hills with no shrubs or trees right next to them. So you don't have to have two hands in the bush waving around and hoping.

faction rep is server side saved, while character progress is client side saved. so yes, you have to level up faction on every world.

make sure he had clay in his inventory - not hotbar! if still doesnt work, relog, if still no, go to a singleplayer map and mine clay (should be easy on start island) - make sure you got no clay in pocked before relogging.

there npc at all outposts + tortuga you can talk and hire for coins. after you assign em to stations to get benefits.

those are keys for a local poi to unlock chest/passage ways, they can be infite farmed since the npc (the ones with the key symbol) respawn, so dump em if you have spare.
