I haven't been boarding them, because it seems like I get the same pay out as just sinking them. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. The game doesn't explain anything particularly well. Took me a while to figure out what the heck "posture" was, and why I should care.

I built the pre-built shack so Doc wouldn't sleep in my bed. Turns out he still sleeps in my bed, unless I close the doors... but he ignores the bed in his hut, with the door wide open for him.

I like that they are focused on backend stuff, rather than visible content. Lots of content doesn't mean anything if the game is bugged to hell and back again.

Maybe my PC is just enough of a powerhouse that I haven't really noticed much performance issues. I think I had one bug where I traded a stack of 10 favor letters, but only got the rep for one letter.

But I might have been mistaken.

I hope stealth is in the near future, and maybe climbing.

Or at least just the ability to crouch.

I could make a lot more hidey-holes.

Hello everyone, I finally managed to finish my solo project—it took around 100 hours. TAs I haven’t finished the game yet, some details are still missing. But I’ll add those later. This region lies within the Bermuda Triangle, where space and time are warped.
When a portal through time opened, medieval soldiers emerged and launched an assault on the castle.
As a result, sections of the castle walls and the plaza were left in ruins.

You may not have it. I have noticed some islands have different shapes per map. ie, my starter island on my solo game is different than the starter island on my dedicated server.

I'd probably start by taking out that botttom right corner piece that's sticking out in the second pic and then building roofing up from the wall towards the existing roof. You can trycto make some sort of costal beach landing obstacles to block them from entering something similar to the large wooden obstacles like the ones on beaches there were during DDAY

so, I'm working on a pretty massive build rn size wise, and im struggling to understand how the stability system works on a larger scale. I found that in order to get my desired build height I'm gonna have to use dock foundations instead of pillars and beams to spread structural support. does anybody know of any videos that go over just how exactly build stability is calculated?

The wooden foundations are indefinite base, since they will attach as far as it takes to reach the base floor

Stone foundations are 2 walls high in depth, but with some fickery you are able to get them to stack to certain level of comfort.. Good luck going about it that way..

For when it comes to build block stability.. I cannot quite explain most of them, There are people with tons of videos but is there specific one for stability yet? I'm not certain.

What I would like though would be planks and ropes you can place at any angle by selecting the start and end points when placing the hologram. Kinda like in Aloft.

Yeah its perfectly ordered here. Its like, too clean. It needs some more stuff to help tell the story of the wear and tear these kind of places would accumulate over time.

We also use a single wall and sometimes double wall for decorative purposes, depending on the exterior design. For example, here we only used a double wall along the staircase. Most of our walls are actually made with a single wall, like in the bedrooms

Took a bit to get to blend properly though so the interior wall poked out just enough jnside to be visible and enough for it to not visibly clip on the outside

It was bugging me that I couldn't put my furnaces under a roof without loosing access to the inventory, so I removed some roof pieces, fine they worked again, then added a line of small floor tiles and snapped the chimney tops to the floor tiles, problem solved. And it looks pretty damn good too.

I built some big smokestacks over mine and left them without any roof, then I jammed one of those chimney into the wall of the middle on and got a similar result 🙂

Lookin good so far! Id say use different rooftop styles on different houses so they all look unique. The Wooden Ramp in the "Stairs" section makes for a good roof piece.
Also, hide your UI with the /? button beside right-shift. And hide your character by pressing their back against a temporary wall.

Experimenting with setting up a few first buildings and alleyways for the upper town part

2x parallel spinning wheel, distance of a small platform.. your platform needs to be lifted, originally i just used a small wall cuz also helps to set the distance between the spinning wheels.
If by now you understand that often times game force u to have support, you can place a stick hidden to remove said wall.
Then you just add railings to that first platform the way u like. Here i have 4x beans framing the platform and extra beans on top where I want the retaining walls higher.
The carts arms are the rustic triangle bean supports (2x).

U can place anything on top for different looks… carry logs, or if u make large even boxes.
