only if you would find a large shallow zone that lets you raise the ground and also you can not raise "mountains". In most areas the water gets deep fast if you get away from the strand, If you elevate (or dig) as high or low as it lets you, you get a clean surface to build on or a ground for a harbour that looks "build".

Can also use the elevation to build a natural cellar for a castle .. or the basewalls for a cave 😉

Truffle needs to be able to be a camp "worker" and stay perminantly at camp, he works hard always boarding ships and helping me out of a tight spot, so I build him a little area under my tavern for him but currently he only comes if i use the whistle XD. Would be sick if you could use him as a worker for like idk, farming and he like finds truffles sometimes which we can use to make crazy buff food or sell or something. This is what I made during the demo. It took awhile to get the shape how I wanted it. And I was struggling with the top (not a lot of round platforms I can work with for its top.) I’ve been stockpiling materials for when I find the perfect island in the early access to set up my harbor town and build another.

Your character isn't tied to the world. You can totally create multiple worlds and play on them all with the same character. In doing so, the inventory of your character isn't wiped when hoping from world to world, so people use that to farm resources in a secondary world to pour into their main world.

This is amazing! During the demo I wiped 3 entire islands of resources to play with building. Then as I was driving around I realized how terrible the world looked without any trees or bushes or rocks on the islands around me. I’ll def make a “easy” world as my farm world to strip of resources.

Yeah I like building the most in any game. So I have huge plans for multiple ports / towns/ forts. And the sheer volume of resources needed is the first obstacle. The second obstacle being absolutely flattening all surrounding islands for said resources. It’s gotta still feel like a world that lives and breathe around us.

Feedback & Suggestions: Immersion, Ballistics, and World Life

"Hi team! I’ve been spending a lot of time in Windrose recently, even using real-world architectural blueprints (like the 19th-century Jagdschloss) to plan my coastal bases. I love the direction the game is taking, but I have a few questions and suggestions that I believe could really elevate the experience:

Cannon Range & Coastal Defense: I noticed the 12lb cannons max out at around 180m. Historically, they reached much further. Is this a balance choice to protect bases? If so, could we perhaps have 'Coastal Batteries' with longer range to defend against ships that currently tend to stay just out of reach?

The Spyglass: Are there plans to add a spyglass? It would be great if it could show the distance to a target, helping players judge those tricky 180m shots.

Pets: Will we see any animal companions? A parrot or a ship cat would add so much pirate soul!

Character Animations & NPCs: Are you planning to expand character animations? It would be amazing if NPCs reacted to the player's gestures or presence more dynamically.

Base Attacks: Will there be a mechanic where pirate AI actually raids player-built coastal fortifications? It would give more purpose to building heavy defenses.

Visual Effects (VFX): * Cannon Trails: I noticed improvements since the demo, but the cannonballs still lack that thick, lingering smoke trail that defines classic naval battles.

Water Interaction: When the ship's bow hits the water after a wave, the splashes feel a bit 'light'. Making them larger and more saturated would add a great sense of weight and power to the vessels.

with that you can build a merchant in your house (more than 1)

for 250 silver you can buy 500 stone per merchant every 70 minutes (it takes that long to arrive so treat it as a background passive resource farm)

Standard for the Chonky, the other two are blackbeard variants for the bigger guns. But the Costa Concordia has like... half the health of a bretheren frigate, so I expect to be punished for wanting a faster boat with more damage.

Hey. You have to build a dock in the following way:

1- Note the pier post with the Anchor sign on it (it's just a normal Sign you find under Storage, nothing special). This marks the position where your Character should stand before hitting K to summon your ship.

2- The second shot shows the stall between the two wharfs. Note the pillar and sign in the middle. This set up works for Ketch and Brig. You might need to go an additional 2x2 wider for the Frigate.

3 - Walk to the post and hit K and summon your boat

4- Boat is summoned. Note that because this is the Brig it has a deeper draft, the game detects the beach/sand below, so it spawns it further out. The Ketch will spawn right near the pier and there is no need to back into the stall. But for the Brig and Frigate you may need to back them into the stall manually. Takes a few seconds, no big deal.
