boarding ships... sometimes the back has a high part you can stand on and they cant get to you... or the front you can walk up the sail and shoot down... i would say, your boarding party level should be equal or higher than the boat level you are boarding

I really like the sabers or the cutlass, specifically the Razor:

The cutlass has the "take aim effect" which gives your guns a damage increase that stacks the more times you hit an enemy with your sword before shooting. It's a nice idea, but because I didn't build specifically for guns, with the slow reload, I'm more likely to open with a shot and swing my sword after than the other way around, so I don't use the cutlass

Personally I'm somewhat annoyed about it myself; there's a double door from the spanish building set with a really nice window over it, but I'd have to significantly rebuild my house to use it. So I can only use the Large one with no window

you can't just replace pieces even if they do fit. you have to destroy the old ones first, and that means any storage or crafting tables you have also get destroyed... which, you get the stuff back, but it's a pain, you'd have to make new storage and manually transfer it all, then rebuild it and put it back again

If you're worried about them destroying or looting it you could always make a brand new world and invite them there. your character's progress and inventory stays with your character. You don't start out at level 1 with rags if you go to a different world.

Fortunately, I built my house in a way where massive changes to the house don't affect the crafting/storage area. The house itself is raised up on those big Y-pillars and the crafting is an open area beneath it.

If the trees are near a PoI they will never respawn no matter what kind of tree they are

Since when you die, food benefits are reset, thus you'll have to cook a LOT a food on a particularly difficult fight, and lots of food, is LOTS of ... the most hateful thing in any game... grind...

for me well i might be a little under spec for 60 fps but i just got through yesterday adjusting settings cause this games runs great until ship combat happens then i start to see a dip in fps but after making some graphics adjustments i got it down to seeing small stutters on a ryzen 2600 and gtx 1660 if i need to make any further adjustments i'll probably have to go back and adjust settings in the games config file

I'm not 100% sure but I think there aren't any official servers you can connect to like you'd probably know from games like ARK or Conan Exiles.
You're either creating your own world and directly inviting others into that world or you join another player via his invitation.

The three worlds you're seeing should be the ones your friend already created.

As a former gamer tester, I think its a lot more than the greed. While it is a factor yes I think that a lot of devs (not saying Wind Rose specifically), seem to have forgotten the "trail blazers" for gaming. Take Redemption for example.. It was SO FAR ahead of its time that some games in the early 2000's used it as an example for how to make shadows in their games

Redemption did a lot of things correct.. not only in how to write the game but also how to handle things like difficulty and armor rating

ive found that the poi's are on islands that are generally the same outline, but there is some variation in the exact coastline for each of them, and you'll find the same poi's in each world.

while i kinda doubt they would decide to do the following, i think it would be pretty cool if they made several different versions of each POI, so they could have each world have a random choice of each poi, making all POI's still there, but making subsequent world seeds have some variation, but still have the quests/loot available on each world and able to string together no matter which poi's you get fed.
