so you know how animals and sailors will fight and kill each other? and sometimes different animals will fight too? You could probably make that happen, but you'd have to kite both the crusher and the thralls around and get the thralls at just the right spot for his boulders to hit them.

They WILL take damage from one another, they just always target you

It’s usually pretty hectic when I’m running 4 my life but I was pretty sure it was a regular tree because I had to run up and goad him into chasing me. Might have been a glitch tho too cuz I’ve seen the trees stay still and I’ve seen them launch in the air like rockets before

well the damage to trees is kinda janky and inconsistent too. You can break a downed log by dropping another one on it, or you can sometimes get trees to fall on other standing trees to knock them over too, but every once in a while instead of knocking it down completely it'll suddenly look liek someone took a buncha whacks at it with an axe, but not enough to bring it down yet

also trees can fall on you and hurt you anywhere from a tiny sliver of health to like 90% of it

That's a good question. I had very little crit chance from my stats, so I went with that ring while also using the razor as my primary weapon and taking the perfect counter talent

Brothers and potential sisters, I need help with a concept of aesthetics, namely lighting. I find the one light source that provides the best overall lighting is the basic wood stand torch, but it's very primitive looking. I'm trying to have good lighting coverage without walls covered in torches or random lamps in each corner, and the roof in the area isn't quite high enough for chandeliers. Which light source do you think I should use to replace the wooden stand torches that provides the most light? The iron stand torches are good, but because they cast that annoying shadow, actually cast less light.

My first suggestion woulda been chandeliers, honestly if you hadn't said the ceilings were too low. Is it feasible to raise them, or have you already done too much work you'd have to undo?

I have found myself lingering around doing random stuff for the fun of it, and not even trying to advance. It depends on what you're looking for to be honest. If you want ship combat, then yes, If you want fighting, then also yes, though it could be improved. If you want hardcore survival... not really. You don't need food, or anything, it just helps. If you want atmosphere, then absolutely.

Overall I'd say get in early, play what they have, and there's new stuff lined up for November or therabouts.

Honestly? Something I've been thinking about.

Blackbeard is feared and powerful enough that he commands basically infinite pirates and can control the undead. At the beginning, you absorb an undead artifact, and a lot of the conversation options let you lean towards a more hardline type of personality.

...why not let US try to rule by controlling the undead too, and compete with Blacklbeard, or terrify the pirates and force them to surrender? Imagine being able to use your new powers to charm undead to work for you, or being able to force pirates to surrender and work for you.

Displaying things like skeletons and such could be a part of taking the more evil route to power, rather than being a 'good' pirate.

Pirates killed the crews of the ships they raided as a way to show how dangerous they were. They also would go out of their way to be super brutal about it, and leave at least one person to tell the story so the rumors spread and people would think three times before messing with them. This also increased the chances that people would surrender immediately in hopes of not getting tied to the mast with their own innards.

THIS needs to be a weapon in the game: the Swivel Gun. It's basically a small cannon that attached to the side of ships, but I like to imagine one that is Strength based that could be carried around. It would slow you a bit for movement, but explode on impact.

I would not mind a separate bag for shot and gunpowder. It could add a small bonus to reload times and draw directly from it, rather than you running out mid battle and having to pause to move more bullets to your gun.

Beds are kinda stupid. They don't like things too close to either side, and will glitch and not let you use them.

Their hitbox is also disproportionate to their size. If you have a box near one, you will find yourself clicking the bed as often as the box.

If you chopped the stumps, their gone. The small ones don't count. You'll have to find another location. Don't worry, there are more than one, and sometimes several on a good island.

stumps don't care. i have chopped them down several times and always take the stumps out as well. They have always regrown. I have heard someone mention that if you leave the stumps and log out and back in, they respawn instantly instead of after hours. I have not tested that yet so i can't say it's true or not

I tend to hate the commerce in this game, since it's one way only. I do my own work, and stack my coins.

I would love it if they added the ability to either trade for what you wanted in an exchange type situation, or sell things you farmed back to the merchants.

Hey if you wanna do blunt weapons that's cool, my build is odd. I run rapier/pistol for main. I use rapier of a thousand cuts for bleed effect then switch back to my other. Then, if I'm in a tizzy and I need to escape, I have a Soul Eater sword I can proc it's special attack and it'll give me a window to dip and recuperate.

im talking about difficulty to enforce really. look at hytale discord when the game came out. they have automod in there. but they also had tons of people daily bypassing it to say their words. with more extreme words, the mods would delete or talk to those people, especially if it was frequent. otherwise a lot of people were let off/ignored for their bypass. it would be too much work/unreasonable to go after every single person who bypassed automod the second they did it basically. someone will get away with something. the better solution is basically to improve how automod targets words probably.

They are the shields your character has to block attacks. And when they're all gone, you get stunned for a few seconds.

i love going into a boat fight and boarding the transport ship and you get 1 attack off on the enemy sailor and the game just crashes for the 10th time so i gain nothing but my boat is still damaged from the fight so in the end i only lose

i find chain shoot to be absolutely worthless, it doesnt do what its meant for since the sail has no hitbox and it does no damage

that's what i thought, chain shot should be for knock wings and slow their ship

it did but i think there was a hitbox overlap causing shots that shouldnt hit the sails to register as if they did.
it feels like the box up there was turned off until resolved but take that with a grain of salt since i cant really tell 100%

I also think chainshot is in a weird place. It might be more useful if it didn't have its shorter firing arc, but even then, there is no functional need for them since you can just disable ships with regular cannon fire.

IMO, if you're going to have chainshot at all. It should be required to disable and board ships, and regular shot should only sink ships.

Otherwise, multiple ammos types are unneeded.
