Hmmmm..... The trench I can dig with the shovel actually kind of looks like it might be able to get fairly close to handling a brig's draft. I don't think it quiet can, but it's not by much. Maybe 2-3 shovel "digs" away from being able to do so. It is very finiccky and really stretching the limit of how far I can dig, though. Standing in water just inches away from needing to swim, fiddling with the mouse to just get as far as I can reach, etc.

Well, you have a flag now on ships when they're ready for boarding. That could be the signal for your fleet to stop attacking.

The dueling longsword will only give you a boost if your play style is parrying everything… even then longswords are slow and don’t hit for that much more than the faster weapons

My personal favorite is the rapier of devastation. The sturdy rapier is like right behind it for me

I just checked, and trees are meant to regrow - except the ones outside the bonfire circle. This is a problem because coconuts are not respawning, and I'd prefer not to buy them. Plus, I don't like trees not respawning - after a while, the game looks dystopian without flora.

It might be a single player issue. This happens in Ark as well, especially when you harvest nodes and then log out quickly. I might have to harvest and then stay in the game for a while (this is why I put my solo Ark games on a server, lol).

Depends on your goal.

I run RoD with Double shot pistol if I'm DPSing. Plague pistol if I'm tanking.

Swap between filibuster set for damage or pike for tank.

idk if this is turned into a superstition, but we leave the stumps and I think our trees have been respawning. If you cut the stump they do not. We cleared all the trees near our base (not in our circle), and they never came back

Yes, but sometimes if enough building is wrecked at the same time, the loot will just float in mid air and you'll have to build stairs to collect them. Because spite. :p It'll also cause a heck of a FPS drop as it explodes everything for a bit.

You just have to keep skating along the outside of the island until you reach a dock that will be outside of the barrier. I'm pretty sure it's always on the south/southeast of the island.
Edit: Oddly enough, the island of Tortuga has selling vendors, but no buying vendors. If you want to sell stuff to the People of Tortuga, the buyer is on another island, like all the other reputations.

Which i'm fine with but it goes away wayy too fast and it feels more punishing to the player than the NPC.

breaking a boss's stance should allow you to really have a cahnce to get in on their hp bar except most of the time you just deal one hit and they're awake.

Also because you're regularly swarmed it results in the player getting hit 2-3 times when block broken where as an NPC wakes up from the first hit.

It’s a work in progress i’m sure, but there’s armor and wep setups made for it if you want to face tank. If you don’t run, stab stab, run and dash are gonna be the main option. It’s realistic as rogues, chevallier’s, etc aren’t known for blocking maces and greatswords with daggers and rapiers

so I think the idea is to give you access to the commonly used keys near WASD so you can have dedicated buttons to certain things that on a normal controller might require a long press or a button combination, or some weird menu navigation. And then the trackpad should theoretically control more like a mouse than a stick, giving you more precise aiming... It all sounds interesting in theory, but I wonder how well it actually works in practice. Unfortunately the controller is 60 bucks, and that's a bit too much for me to throw at a neat experiment

so instead of whatever whatever normal mechanism controls the sticks, they use magnets that never actually make contact with anything, so the idea is that they're meant to pretty much never wear out, or if they do, it'll be long after a traditional analog stick would. Pretty much every serious 3rd party controller maker is using those now, or the next new thing, whose name escapes me at the moment

They're also using hall effect switches now as an alternative to traditional cherry mx switches in mechanical keyboards, so you can get the functionality of an analog stick in a single keyboard key... so instead of holding shift to sprint, you can change your speed by how hard you push down on the W key instead

There's a real popular one going around right now called GameSir. Some of their controllers are like 20-30 dollars. Look 'em up on youtube, you'll find all kinds of videos of people ranting about how great they are.

I have nothing against them, but I really really like the aesthetic of 8bitdo's SNES controller with analog sticks, so that's what I recommend, but I've only ever heard good things about GameSir. My buddy just got two of their controllers and can't shut up about them... and he's the kinda guy who used to play with an Xbox Elite controller for like 150-250 or whatever they cost.
