wildstar was and still is to me the single greatest mmorpg that released in the last 20+ years. everything about it to me was perfect. the combat was phenominal and engaging, the art style was genuinely goated, the story was great, and the housing was sensational because a large portion of mmo players wanted a housing system and never got it until wildstar came around

I have 5 players on my server and in some areas, especially the starter area, there are no trees to be found anymore. Shipwrecks are also problematic.
This is especially annoying for new players.
This makes it more difficult for new players to get started.

My suggestion usually is to set it depending on how many people you're playing with

for example, I went with 50% cause I'm playing with one other guy.

yea a mate and i played through having it at 100 and after that we turned it down to 70 so theres still bite but its not getting spongie since other sliders are slightly turned up as well

Ah okay. My friends and I were getting obliterated by dodos 'n pigs starting out so we tuned down co-op scaling first and I could swear we took less damage, but yeah I see no mention of damage being affected. Unless the server holder also tuned damage

The thing you're having a problem with isn't damage. It's the fact everything takes so little damage compared to you

Yeah. That happened to me too. 50% scaling made things way more fair when there's two people. 100% scaling makes EVERYTHING feel like a damage sponge.

It was probably a bug or something. But to this day my first death was on the tutorial. And I can hold that crown.

Now I feel special because apparently it hasn't happened to anyone else.

@rigid rapids ironically I'm at the point now where I thought the first boss was INCREDIBLY easy even on my first try. Like, yeah, I took a beating for a bit but the moment I saw how slow and obvious his attacks were I had a moment of "I understand it now"

I just shot my way through the game I hardly engaged in melee after I got absolutely flattened by that elite boar that jumps and belly flops you into oblivion

Oh yeah no, prior to recently I barely ever used my gun. I LOVE melee combat. But after getting the double barrel pistol (by far my favorite pistol btw), it's made fighting multiple enemies a cakewalk.

i never really understood the issue some ppl have with richards tbh.
after all we can see before that fight, his attacks telegraphs are sent by carrier pigeon but i dont know if there is overall more to it than meets the eye

Reliable musket is my choice because it reloads fast and the headshots are disgusting

I prefer being able to fight in close quarters, midrange and long range all at once, which the pistols do very well

Who said I'm not shooting them at close range? I just wait for them to start an attack then dodge back and point blank them in the face
