farming having progression makes it more rewarding, and most people prefer qol in games rather than not. repetitive tasks that take time aren't really the parts of a game people want to spend time on.

if you want to go realism with farming, and have it be grindy, then do it the way vintage story does. for example in vintage story you really forge things the way an actual blacksmith would. in that type of game, i don't expect quality of life mechanics.

I’ve used Linux up until I bought my 40 series. There is a significant gap in the performance and capabilities of windows vs Linux. I used Linux for around 10-12 year give or take a few. And with each subsequent update the system just got worse, and worse, and worse.

grind comes from time spent, but also repetitive tasks. planting is relatively low time spent, but it's highly repetitive, especially if you replant 100 times in a row. qol is about reducing repetitive tasks/grind and ensuring you are spending time in the game doing more enjoyable things. if you have qol in farming, and actually find the repetitive task of planting enjoyable, guess what? you can make a bigger farm and be at it longer. but for the rest of us the qol mechanics would allow us to enjoy more fun aspects of the game. if a game is not designed with realism in mind for farming, then qol mechanics make sense.

also the qol mechanic of snapping would allow us to plant more symmetrical farms and make planting easier.

Okay.I have a list of things that I feel should be quick and easy to add to the game.Adding a bit more to it whether it be done sooner or later.

First of all, after you complete an area. You should be able to unlock the ability to buy charts of the seas for that area. Basically, just a small piece of the puzzle that you can open up after that area is gone.
Secondly, it's definitely a lot more upgrades in fishing.But maybe a fishing boat has something fun to spend your money on.
Maybe it has perks, maybe it doesn't.Maybe it has perks.Once you upgrade it.
Thirdly can we get some more signs with pictures? I mean, for every type of crafting table, there should be a sign that goes with it. Also, the amount of fish goods there are.It would be nice to have a sign for just fish. I don't feel like this is a big ask. And this is something you guys could patch in pretty quickly. And yes, I really appreciate that everything links, but there is some things that would be nice to I have items placed into for organization.
Also, personal boxes or signs with your name on it or something. I know these are open boxes, but things like my gold. That I don't want to keep on my boat or some of those things that can't get spent in town. I feel better if my signs at least on it. Even though I trust people you should be able to label everything. Or even custom labels with text

I'm sure it has its moments too, but it looked way too busy with all the visual effects on screen, plus the core gameplay when you're not on a ship is still sneaking around doing assassin's creed things, and I've never been a fan of stealth based games.

The stealth aspect never feels right. You always seem to either get Vasili Zeitsev sniping you from 4 miles away because you stepped on a leaf, or you get Mr. Magoo who can't see you when you're 3 inches in front of his face with blinking neon lights.

Pretty much, even if you dont have bleeds. I play with more mob damage/hp than Hard just to punish my mistakes more. Only way this game is "hard" is if you stand still and ignore your dodge key. The AI is very simple. Besides, the people complaining can always tune the damage down as they see fit

My quick wishlist of things I want from the game that I don't have:
1 - more small ships. Frigates are on the big side for me personally, I'd like a playable cutter and maybe some more ketch and brig-size stuff.
2 - a hammock bed, so I don't need to build a whole roof at my campsite to change the daytime.
3 - I would like for the default keybinds to be positional, rather than character-code based. Protip - there is no / key on a Scandinavian keyboard, I had to rebind it so I could hide the UI and that wasn't an option before Thursday.
4 - Some way to designate a parking space at your base for your ships when you fast travel/spawn them from reserves.

yeah, there are different types of ancient farms with different icons on the map, and apparently some are labeled ancient VILLAGE, but you want that wheat icon

also any POI you hover over on the map will tell you what kind of loot you can find. That seems like something that doesn't need said, but it took me too long to notice that

Once boarding has started - I'd let your crew go aboard first and go over when you feel you have a good spot - if you start getting hit can return to your ship to heal- but upgrading your boarding kit has a big impact on your success in boarding.

better luck next time, gotta go find a different one. You can also get merchant contracts that will allow you to just order corn or seeds, but I'm not entirely sure how that works. I imagine you'd have to find the thing out in the wild before it'll show up as order-able, but I didn't test this to make sure

When it's low health and there's a crossed swords icon, the ship is ready to be boarded. But don't bother unless there's a chest icon too, if it doesn't have one of those just sink and you're not going to miss much

If the ship has a chest icon overhead it is generally a good idea to board - higher level ships like the 15's can give around 450ish coins

A ship with no chest is worth maybe 20 to 30 silver when you board it. A ship with a chest is worth 100 to 400 (depending on level) plus whatever crates you get (which can sell for 50 to 200 each)
