1. Bind walk forward to a numpad number.
   (You can have multiple keys for one movement. In my case it's 8 on a second movement slot)

2. Toggle numlock on, press and hold the button and then toggle num lock again.

It won't stop walking unless you un-toggle it, by pressing numlock.

I think blackbeard variants need a buff. Current situation (as of recent patches and player tests):Trees are essentially finite once cut. Developers designed it this way to encourage exploration, sailing to new islands, and using alternative wood sources.
Stump or no stump? It doesn't seem to matter — leaving the stump or chopping it fully doesn't trigger reliable regrowth in the current build. Some older player comments claimed "leave the stump and it grows back," but longer-term tests and dev statements contradict that.

Other resources (like clay, ore nodes, banana/pepper bushes, etc.) do respawn on timers (roughly every few real-life hours, often ~6 hours tested for some nodes), and bonfires can suppress respawns in their radius. Trees are an exception.

i personally found the soul eater to be my weapon of choice for the swamp.
as i said, the lunge of greatswords feels amazing against many of the more annoying enemies like warriors etc that you want to keit and attack at the same time, and the special helps to keep you healthy even if you run out of supplies
it helps that it scales with vitality, so you can really deal a lot of damage

yes, but with just ~5 points in agility and some bufffood, you do enough damage to dispatch of all the ordinary thralls in a single attack cycle (upgraded with swamp material, otherwise it takes two cycles)
and the scaling with vitality is doubely so great because that damage goes clean through any and all damage reductions that enemies might have, for example the plague warriors with their block

you can plant a tent and set your respawn point as the tent, then use your ship to fast travel, and then use a homeward bound drink to go back to the newly build tent.

No you only respawn at tents or beds not on a ship. So you have to sail back to where you were
