Part of it is getting used to mechanics - Normal is very easy for me. You using your dash? cntrl + movement? food, block and parry?

No your crew will not man all the ships - but your friends can man their ships along side yours. There are other ships in game yes, so you will have other blueprints to unlock.

The demo is just bare beginning items. You don't even have a full build set in the demo. Yes there are some nice full sets and new pieces that we are super excited about that we did not have in the Alpha. Will have to wait for Early access. builders are going to love it.

So im 33 hours into this game and really really enjoying it. Were just gathering and building radomn things i assume there is not iron on the demo we have scoured everything looking. even fighting the ships that spawn. And I'm glad the devs made the copper respawn with the as frequently as they did in the demo its been very helpful for upgrades.

you'll get the hang of it - this is not a game where you can go in swinging non stop and kill whatever. You need to time your hits, and learn to block and parry and Dash out the way - cntrl + move direction, use food and upgrade gear, use potions.

Farming went well in the early test phase half a year ago,but it unlocks with a recipe from an island in chapter 2, as well as iron does etc. 🙂

West coast it was a moonrise 2hours before sunset. I was driving home and the light turned yellow. Saw a cop in my rearview mirror so I braked and stopped. The cop guns it and runs the yellow :/. I looked to my left and saw the moon cresting on the horizon. Though that's cool. Looked to see if the light had turned green yet, it had not. Looked back at the moon and it was already half way over. Proceeded to watch the moonrise before the light turned green. was low so it looked really big. Not red 😥

Hey everyone! Downloaded the game yesterday and really enjoyed it, it has a strong Risen vibe, which is awesome.
But there’s one issue that’s stopping me from fully enjoying it: frequent disconnects in co-op. Every 10–40 minutes either I or my friend get kicked from the server, even though our internet connection is fine.
Does anyone know if there’s any info on when this might be fixed or how to work around it?

our co-op has been going great ! 4 online for a few days now. sorry to hear you have issues. nothing fancy either, 4 cores 1050ti laptop. making it happen. Wired connection, steer away from wifi if your the host, that could also cause issues with connections.

Instead of building roofs, try out to shape with the sticks. So you have a net of sticks. That helps for imagination how the roof looks like

thats the way, its easier to build a roof and then work out the building that will fit under it than try to fit the roof to your building

well, trying to help, building a roof by itself at almost ground levels is the way to learn doing them, you dont spend a heap of time making a build thats going to be nearly impossible to fit a roof on without having gaps or looking odd that way

all good, the camera isn't that good for roofing at the moment especially if build tall and wide and resources get stuck up high, making temp scaffold or steps to get on the roof can help to

Well some of those mechanics still are "wonky" .. digging for instance. Took me about 2 hours to dig a decent area only to find out the ship is too still not able to pass through because it touches the ground. :\ ... works fine with the boat though

Use the longest side of each building and build up each side to see if the roof meets in the middle. It will depend on the dimensions of the house. You can use the ridge pieces to bridge a gap and they will also give a better finish. Then use corner pieces to get the right orientation for the short sides to join and fill those in. Finally, use the smaller roof pieces to allow an overhang each side to finish it off. Use the V key on an English keyboard to toggle the view when building if needed. You got this!

Using charging Boars to practice your dodging. it works wonders once you ge the hang of it. you CAN backstep their charge. just don't...step towards them LOL.

practice your perfect parries on a drowned (not the bloated one), pirate, or undead crab.

their attacks are easy to patternize and the crab has a very noticeable stun (it flips upside down.)

If you use the Razor (saber) it increases the opportunity for the perfect block and helps you learn the timing some more before you swap to another weapon

Terraforming needs some tweaking

i'd be curious if you'd "dig" would you find anything ... and please don't as you'd probably end up with a hole that cant be filled anymore 😄

yeah it just needs a bit of work, i'd also suggest making "dig" the default option for the shovel, plus have some way of increasing or decreasing the radius you're working with

i found so many interesting things about terraforming.

like, you can only terraform so much based on what feels like some invisible terrain mesh below the surface. cause some areas act like it is it's own terrain generation when you try to lower everything as far as it goes

Decided Im gonna lower the entire interior area and fill it with stone or wood foundations. Putting in some initial straw ones and Im left with mounds of dirt that I cant actually dig out

i find it much easier to raise the ground then flatten it after diging
