There are sulfur nodes, but you can't make the tools to mine them in the demo. You'd have to shoot them with ship cannons and hope to hit, then you could gather the sulfur. But even then there is no recipe for gunpowder in the demo so you couldn't do anything with it.

FYI guys I discovered another way to bring stuff from other worlds - the inventory of your ship is preserved between worlds so you can farm until it's full and then swap over to your main world

Its almost like its supposed to do this but when you die after boarding the blackbeard ships your loot from your body goes through the deck of the ship and ends up in the stores down inside their vessel. It makes sense the enemy would store your gear after your death

So I'll leave it at this, Alt+F4 started in the early 90s and my great uncle let me play games on his computer with him, so I do. Many games in the early-late 90s could have issues with corrupted save file if you used Alt+F4, so it was a while before it became considered safe by the industry standard.

always more than one way - but you can do the camp solo easily - if you don't rush in and agro all at once lol - pick off the ones on outside and work way in. Use your dash - ctrl + movement - and timing a parries is crucial to some of the fights to stun them, not just holding the block. Time a couple hits and parry block , repeat.

Also leveling up and upgrading the gear is a big deal

Two things, if you on same server , it needs to have shared turned on. If so then you all need to be at the same point. If he/she are behind you in quest - they need to catch up to where you are to both progress. They do not get automatically caught up for content they have not recieved credit for when not there.
