You need to explore and find new resources to unlock new blueprints, then after you unlock higher tiers you need a building structure that lets you craft higher tiers of equipment (number at the top of workshop screen and next to items)

It feels like only streamers and those willing to spend a lot on a new steam account with an active key have a real chance to get into the game and enjoy it. As a regular gamer, winning a key from a giveaway is already unlikely(I am always missing it due to my time zone), and getting one through the Steam sign-up seems nearly impossible. Even if you’re lucky enough to win, you still have to chase down your key, which is frustrating, especially with the alpha test closing in just 6 days. I really hope those who got keys are actively playing and providing valuable feedback to help improve the game. At this point, I have lost hope of trying it during this playtest, but I wish a future tests will be more accessible.

I just wish the playtest had a debug menu where you can spawn in stuff (even just basic resources) to speed up progress.
Having to gather the same thing over and over gets old quick, especially knowing it all will be gone once the game is released and will have to do it again.

I have no problems at all with my ultrawide. I just use Power Toys + Windowed borderless Gaming and have set it the way i prefer playing on my widescreen. Nothing squish together or stretched out. (And yes i dont play on full screen, using left and right space for stuff like discord and such)

the jump thing for me is new. It started happening last night and I would need to fast travel to fix it. I was chalking it up though to the fact the server I was playing on (NA) was pinging upwards of 300-400 with 1100 at the max but I found it happened this morning also with regular ping.

I think it may be some type of desync from the server, the logs usually say something like "hit limit" when it happens, where it's trying to catch up with controls that were pressed.

small PSA about the bug reports. PLEASE search the reports before posting your bug. You might find that someone else has the same bug and that someone else has found a work around. Making a whole new post for the same thing that 20 other people have posted about and have posted fixes for clogs up the forum.

The amount of "I can't build in my base!" bug reports with the responses of "Destroy/rebuild your bonfire" are staggering. A simple search would alleviate all of that.

Agree it’s one of the best looking Alphas I’ve been in and has better polish than most betas I’ve been in. However this is a smaller company and it’s not at the stage yet to open the flood gates and let everyone in. They also are gathering valuable data from the feedback forms from this test, so they can make changes before the next one.

Yeah, fair enough, if it was labelled early access, people knew what they were getting, thats all good. My original point was mainly that a lot of the chatter i hear about the game 'looking amazing' and that it should be released now, is from people that have only really watched videos. And thew reality of state the game is a little different in person.
The game is solid, for what it is. and even as half a game, if they add another half as good, they'll have a great game.
